Watched Outlast which is a team based survivor show set in Alaska. Last team standing wins a million, but you have to be on a team. You can switch teams but cannot go it alone. Nice concept but ...
I'm thinking of driving down to Des Moines from Minneapolis. For those that have been to the first weekend, is it easy to get single game tickets from scalpers or would you recommend buying the entire ticket package online?
Been doing mega backdoor for a few years. If you have it set so it immediately converts from after tax to Roth there will be no taxable gains and therefore nothing to report (fidelity does this automatically so if your 401k is with them call and set it up). If there's a lag in the conversion process you'll inevitably have some income to report on gains, but your 401k custodian will send you a form if that's the case.
Spencer with the Bill Bradley to aggy after the coinflip- it don't make a shit.
Interesting game theory about the rules of a duel. Since the one challenged gets to pick weapons, I'd get really really good at one thing nobody else practices. Then when someone challenges me I'd calmly say nunchucks or axe throwing. People would learn you just let slide the insults from the obnoxious drunk guy with nunchucks hanging on his belt.
Just finished digging out in the Twin Cities. For you sane folks that don't live above the Mason-Dixon, that's a mailbox- you need to dig it out so the mailman can get to it.
They're making sure my last winter here is a memorable one.
Does it annoy the fuck out of me when someone asks themselves questions and answers them? Yes. Does it make me think they're a little bitchass that can't just write their thoughts or position without being overly dramatic? Also, yes
Well, there you go, I don't know shit about other big 12 schools apparently. Damn, the big 12 is kind of a joke academically now that I really think about it. Especially compared to big 10 or the current members of the PAC.
My son applied to ISU and was accepted literally in seconds. Of the schools he applied to that's the only one that did that, so I didn't get a sense they had rigorous entrance standards.
I've always thought of KU as the distant second best school in the big 12, but I honestly have no hard data to back that up.
Some of the subtle narrator jokes were my favorites -
Jessie the publicist to George Michael- Daddy lost his shot at happy, and it's all your fault, Opie.
Narrator- Jessie had gone too far and she had best watch her mouth...
There was also the time they kept getting Anson Williams and Donny Most mixed up and the narrator kept correcting them.
Wait, this is fiction? Now it's all coming together.
To be an act like he was doing it needs to be somewhat believable. I imagine even the "heritage not hate" shouting rednecks gorging themselves on brisket would think "hey that's kind of fucked up."
Or hell, maybe it's possible- now that I think about it a friend of mine has a Vietnamese brother in law that was in the aggy corps who proudly displayed the Confederate flag in his bedroom. I just chalked it up to being aggy.
Just finished episode 3 and I like the general format as others have said. It's a decent premise and there are great guest stars. Heck I almost missed Cliff Claven in episode 2.
As far as episode 3, as someone that grew up in East Texas, I don't recall ever seeing a black guy with a truck horn that plays Dixie. I think that stretched my bullshit meter more than a human lie detector on the run from the mob that finds a new murder to solve every week.
Holy shit, this is a perfect example of picking up pennies in front of a steamroller. It's the kind of strategy my son and his knucklehead friends would dream up and say "it's foolproof, what could go wrong?". Of course, none of them have 1.4 million available to do something this stupid like risk all your principal for a .8% return.
See if your current 401k will accept a rollover to it. Pro rata rule only applies to IRAs not 401ks so if you get all ira amounts moved into 401k it will clear the way for a backdoor Roth. Not sure how common it is for 401ks to allow this, but mine did it and I did this exact thing to enable back door Roths.
