I remember Buss for psych 101. First day the old short dude walks into the packed auditorium at batts hall and announces there's a sign up sheet outside his office and anyone that beats him at racquetball, the entire class gets a day off.
Finally near the end of the year he asks a student to stand up, announces that the student beat him for his first loss
in a decade or so and next class was cancelled.
Some people get all defensive about things they have blind spots about. It's human nature and just an immutable fact- like a Rick Barnes early exit in March.
Had right shoulder done in December. Relatively pain free now unless I try to throw or bench. Can do light weights with other exercises. First few months post surgery were a total bitch.
If you can, try to solve the problem with rehab first because surgery on a shoulder should be an absolute last resort.
One thing I remember about that shitty season, other than the glorious Nebraska game.
After the Rice game there was a long write up about the new and improved power offense. It had GDGD talking to Gilbert and he said something to the effect of "getting 10 yards on that 3rd and 15 for Mack Brown gave Mack Brown the chance to go for a field goal instead of punting". Not we or us or Texas but Mack Brown. Who the fuck talks like that? Other than some kind of sycophantic yes man who owes his whole career to a narcissist?
We were on a 2 game losing streak heading into that game. On a totally unrelated note, fuck SBbruin and Chitowndoc. And then in the weeks right after that fuck Al4isu and bearschlong. There's 3 other posters in there somewhere I should insult but I'm too lazy to look it up.
I noticed that too and figured he was talking round trip. But the manager's reaction was clearly that she wasn't going to wait 4 hours for him to get there.
Raises hand sheepishly.
In my defense, I'm selling in summer 2023 when the youngest graduates. So last year I took out a HELOC at prime -.75 (was 2.99 at the time). I figured I had a large chunk of change as an emergency fund getting nothing so used that along with the heloc to pay off my 3.625 fixed rate and used HELOC as emergency fund. Now I'm at 3.75 and will be at 4.5 by the end of the week.
I tried to get too cute and got burnt. Oh well, that's life. It's maybe a few grand in the big scheme of things.
I was at that 2010 game. I did see a bunch of fat pasty people in red so perhaps I ran into the security guard.
Cottonwood mall is in ABQ. Not like these show runners to mess up something like that so I must be missing something.
But what about a family with 3 cars? Can we safely say it's $105 saved or do we start approaching asymptote with larger families that presumably carpool some? Someone should ask at the next press conference so I know exactly how much I'm saving.
I enjoyed the movie, but if that cost $220MM to make, I have to admit I do not understand Netflix's businesses model. I remember I rejoined Netflix many years ago to see the new arrested development seasons and pure laziness (plus being in the surly 1%, err 90%, where $15 a month doesn't bust my budget) has kept me subscribing. Who is getting or retaining Netflix just to see this movie?
I just bought an RV in anticipation of my impending retirement. I tried to go through a drive through the other day and thought of wulaw. Clearance is 9' 4" by the way
This. My ex went through life figuring we could just call daddy if things got tough. Took me years to finally get through to her that we're parents in our 30s, calling dad is not a viable option. Well, it was an option for her but not one I was going to allow. Maybe that's why she's an ex, come to think of it.
