I think that case could have bigger implications than just "omg billionaires". I'm curious to find out how it might apply to staking rewards with various crypto. Crypto staking rewards are not realized income until the crypto is sold.
Stupid Bank of America. They should be listening to the Surly braintrust that knows better.

Whether these numbers are real or made up BS, the Fed is going to use them to justify more rate hikes.
Gold and silver both will likely be under pressure for the rest of the year as the Fed is signalling that they want to raise rates a couple of more times. Once the Fed informs that they are done with the rate hikes, precious metals should start to rise again IMO. Whether or not silver catches fire and outperforms gold (bringing the gold-silver ratio down a bit) remains to be seen, but it's currently sitting at 83 and it has ranged anywhere from ~30 to 115 since 2000 with an average closer to the 60-70 range:

It wouldn't be unreasonable to think that silver could outperform gold at some point in the next couple of years (providing a better opportunity for trading silver for gold).
You aren't fooling anyone you know. We know you love you some financial market based conspiracies.

Excited Delirium gives LEO carte blanche to treat all manner of medical distress with prejudice (as illegal drug use). Hopefully, there will be some change to their training and procedures to actually evaluate cases where people are suffering medical issues.
Probably belongs in the unpopular opinions thread, but I never got the love for the Godfather movies. They bore the hell out of me. Largely, I think, because I can't identify with or respect any of the characters. Same issue I had with the Sopranos show. Films with Mob/Gangster protagonists just aren't in my wheelhouse for the most part I guess.

Signs that inflation isn't tamed - ammo for the Fed to justify raising rates more.

Maybe LEOs will be trained to handle situations involving folks with medical problems differently and save some lives instead of ending them.
I called a salvage yard. They said they would make me a cash offer if I sent them pics of the car. So I did. They offered me $2,000 (and they tow it) and said they could up the offer if I sent them the odometer mileage and the VIN #. I gave them that info and they bumped the offer to $2,500 (car must have intact catalytic converter). I told them we were still evaluating our options. The next day they sent an email saying their boss/mgr had approved an offer of $3,500. I'm guessing I could have negotiated a bit more from them if I had been so inclined.
Son's friend of a friend that fixed the car previously offered to replace the transmission for $3,800 (in four easy monthly payments of $950). My son is going to have to tighten his belt a bit, but he'll be able to swing it, so that's the plan for now.
