Yeah, I probably could have mentioned that she was talking about Molina. Could you imagine him playing second? I don't think that there is a slower player in baseball.
Not my wife, but while picking my kid up from football practice I overheard this poor guy's wife begin to say "When I saw Yadi playing second base earlier this year, I knew..." That's all I heard. I looked over and when she stopped talking the husband told her that Yadi has never played second base. Of course he was wrong and a know-it-all etc.
Multiple autodial calls from my kids' school district that are all the same. Yeah, probably my own fault for having 5 kids in school, but holy hell. Every single day during the school year I can expect 5 calls from the school district that are the same message.
I totally get the Pham move. He's 30 and heading into an arbitration year next off season. He was really the only outfielder with any trade value at all besides Bader and O'Neill, and I wouldn't want to get rid of either of them. I think they have like 5 rookies that they brought up into the bullpen, so they had to replenish the minor pitching staffs.
So, Pham leaving gets some pitchers that they need in the minors and it gets O'Neill up to STL. Makes sense to me.
Occasionally I will take the wife's vehicle to the gas station on Sunday afternoon and fill it up. Win/win. I get a few minutes of peace and quiet and she appreciates it. Mostly I do it for the peace and quiet.
I live outside of STL now and listen to the sports talk shows on radio. It's funny to listen to them talking about "SEC" football, especially given that they don't play what anyone would consider "SEC" football. It's a shitty school with a shitty football program and it was glorious when TH mocked that idiot of a quarterback. The weeks leading up to the bowl game were very entertaining because they kept going on about the high powered offense. That high powered offense was putting up numbers because they were a shitty team playing against even shittier teams.
