Sanborn is good in the run, but man he's brutal vs the pass...... Slow, not good instincts.

Really clutch drive..... Guys came up really clutch there. A 3 and out by the defense may win this here.... a turnover may too.

And there's a play where Williams lack of foot speed or quick feet comes into play and makes him a plodder. Small things, but important if a better player could have gotten 2-3 yards out of it.

Can you cut Jalen Tolbert. What a zero. JFC. Lil' Schotty isn't off to a good start. A bunch of bad personnel decisions.

The secondary of this team is so terrible. Worst in the league.

Good play by Dak saving a 3 there. Guyton just getting beat by Burns again..... Our tackles just suck at pass pro. Guyton may develop, Steele is just substandard at this stage. But Dak stepped away and got 3-4 yards to make the FG easier. Small but big play.

Yea, he's not a lead back except for maybe 2 teams in the league..... He's a COP bruiser, but we all know how bad the Cowboys personnel decisions are and they keep failing at RB. Even when they fall into a decent player, they divert their attention. Really bad mgt at the position.

Nice run by Williams there.... Some terrible tackling, but nice leg drive there it. He's slow so he's limited but between the tackles, he's playing pretty well.

Sanders has the explosiveness of a slug..... Not a great pass but still, there was a crease there and he needs to hit it. Again, personnel decisions by the coaching staff are interesting.

It's amazing how many snaps a guy like Murray, who has zero instincts, gets. He'll give up 5 plays for every 1 he makes..... Solomon Thomas has played pretty well this season. 4th down, defense could get a big stop here.... and Gringo RB drops it. Yea, I think!!!!

JFC. 3rd and 5 and the LBs and safeties drop to 8 yards..... It's just so dumb.

Elam is so fucking terrible..... Right there he watched the catch. Didn't move.... watched him struggle to catch it and then tackled him 2 yards after. He's just a really bad player.

I mean..... for 50 years, that's not a delay of game and all of sudden this year, they want to crack down on that shit. I hate the new rules for the NFL. Trying to speed up play everywhere. It sucks.

Almost 9 minute opening drive..... This will be a trend all season. This defense can't get off the field forcing the offense to be ultra efficient but also have to play at a pace which hides the defense. If the offense has a bad day, you can pretty much forget about it. The Giants may be one of the few teams they could win with a crappy offensive day. Let's see.

The Giants are doing everything they can do to not score..... But don't worry, this defense says, HOLD MY BEER.

Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
UTEP wasn't really selling out to stop the run. They started to compress the field as the game went on but this wasn't schematically UTEP trying to take away the run. This was a mediocre line getting limited by a good but under talented DL or front 7. UTEP's strength was their front 7 and Sark tried to run right at them and enforce Texas' identity as a physically dominant running team. We failed until we got Arch into the running game and found James Simon and even then, it was just solid. This OL is not really very good right now. Not saying they're a shitshow but again, vs a team like UTEP, expectations should be YPC close or around 5. Need better efficiency per play. We didn't get it and with Sark's odd game plan, Arch was set up with a bunch of 3rd and 4th and long or mid in the first half, which is just fucking weird. First 4 drives, every sequence of new downs began with a run except for 1..... the drive we scored a TD. By the time we tried to force the ball downfield (with little to no creativity), Arch had already gotten in his head with that horrendous INT.

Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Agreed, at least for now. His backups suck or are extremely inexperienced. It's up to Sark and Arch to try and get this turned around and right. Beyond his poor play -- can't see the field right now, late on everything, bad mechanics which creates inaccuracy, poor decision making, Sark needs to be way better. And so does the OL. The OL pretty much is mediocre or on the shitty side. Our normal running game outside of Arch was 46 for 176 or 3.8 YPC.... against UTEP. That fucking awful. So, some of this starts upfront. A lot is the game plan, as Sark wants to make this a running/PA team which is weird because the stats say Arch does better with a straight drop back. And then the rest is Arch needs to be a lot better and get back his confidence. If you go with a backup, it's because he's hurt or you lose 2 of the next 4 or 5 games and need to look to next year and get Lacey or Owens, probably Lacey some snaps....

I like Tyler but this is a silly comment. Ty has already given up as many pressures, sacks, and holding penalties as Zach did in the first 10 years of his career. He's not in Martin's tier.... probably never will be. Let's not resort to hyperbole. He's a good player though, but get's lost sometimes and definitely gets beaten.

So..... Blue and Mazi are inactive again. If Jaylon can't beat out Miles Sanders, then it says a lot about the personnel and coaching staff. That's ugly. We also made Ty Smith the highest paid IDL in the league..... So now we have 3 of the highest paid players at their position. Somehow I don't think Micah was about money...... This had been in the works for months and actually drops the Cowboys salary cap by about 10m.

Texas vs UTEP - 3:15pm on SECN
Okay...... getting a little confidence back. Good ball, good catch. Need one more drive to work on some things and then Sark needs to get his head out of his ass and Arch has to grow from this. Even if it's better than average, can't see this type of shittiness again, from either..... It'll be a loss.
