Well, when you're talking about elderly artists who died . . . elderly . . . I think it's fair to say "what else could they have done?". But in the cases of Zevon and Bowie, both released outstanding albums right at the very end of their lives. Sure, they might not have done so had they not known they were dying, but we can't know for sure.
Portland is a lot of fun and in no way some homeless wasteland. (Aside: neither is SF.) Depending on one's age (ahem) the Willamette Valley absolutely rocks. I wanted to buy a vineyard, but I had left my $20M checkbook at home.
I missed the Stateman's pizza rankings when they came out in October. Loudmouth is my next destination. Feral and Via 313 wuz robbed. Austin pizza top 10 Spoilered:
MAGAts love to expound on current citizens of Greenland and Canada becoming Americans, and yet they can't understand that Puerto Ricans have been American citizens for over 100 years.
It's not up for debate. However, the assertion was that Boston is "full of" racists. While an imprecise measure, I think reasonable people could agree that implies a healthy majority of Bostonians are racists, and I just don't think that's true. That doesn't mean Boston doesn't have more racists per capita than all other US cities.
Today I'm extra proud my daughter signed with him. He's apparently a really decent guy. When an upholsterer who can shred a guitar knows more about civics than the fucking President, well . . .
I had to go on a business trip to visit a manufacturer in Wausau, WI. For dinner they took us to a "fish camp", which was basically a private supper club that looked like it was last renovated in 1973. There were all kinds of couples in there, and almost all of them consisted of some depressed looking normal dude whose wife was wearing leggings and an oversized sweatshirt, with tacky makeup and teased out mall hair replete with the poofy bangs. Those sweatshirts were all hiding at least 160 lb of pure midwestern winterization. It was depressing as hell.
