  1. Booking.Com is also awful if you ever need anything. I had them fail to even make a reservation with a hotel in Austin for two rooms, one for myself and one for my parents. I got reservation emails from Booking confirming my stay dates, rate, and room types. Then when I showed up to the property they had nothing. This was at the embassy suites on S Congress. I wasn’t even able to get ahold of Booking’s customer service. They literally have no phone numbers listed for you to call. They just tell you to call the property you booked with. I ended up booking two rooms on the spot, thankfully they still had availability.
  2. To add a little detail, I currently live in Denver and I don’t try to ski on the weekends because it’s such a pain in the ass to day trip. I-70 can become a 2-3 hour ride each way up to Breckenridge / winter park. I’m fortunate that I can go skiing on weekdays. I do love to board though and try to get 30 days a season or so.
  3. If you’re all in for skiing I would base out of SLC or park city. It’s way more convenient to access all the resorts and I-70 is a full blown massacre on the weekends if you want to be out of Denver and enjoy city amenities on the weekdays. Alternatively you could live in a mountain town in Colorado, the most developed one is breckenridge for lifestyle at night. Frisco is another one to take a close look at. Also depends on what pass you’re buying. Will you go epic or ikon ?
  4. I just got into this too. Started growing some kratky hydroponic lettuce tomatoes and peppers on my window sill. Also got the aerogarden herb kit for the same reasons you mentioned above. So far so good, but I’ve only got the seeds germinated and little baby sprouts going in the aerogarden. My kratky jars are coming along nicely though.
  5. Thanks man. I’ll give that a shot.
  6. Did you guys find that the moccamaster makes a weaker cup? My girlfriend and I have been drinking french press and aero press and the moccamaster I got has not really impressed us. My girlfriend complains the coffee is watery compared to French press. I have the baratza encore so it’s a fine grinder for press and drip. Do I need to change up the grind size? I played with that some but didn’t have much luck.
  7. I renewed mine in august 2020 and used a corporate expediting service (was for business travel). It was done in approximately one weeks time, including shipping to and from DC where I had an international visa placed in it.
  8. Damn the hull is blown out clear through to the cabins inside. Doesn’t look like much is left.
  9. Things are looking up. And up.
  10. ASTS is stonking today. Up 40%.
  11. Just like that, raw meat on the oven grate? Lmao
  12. And most importantly, how much beer did you bring.
  13. How does it fail? Do the seals deteriorate? Or is it from opening and closing it too often?
  14. I’m in the west and if the first come first serve spots are taken you just do dispersed camping somewhere along the public lands.
  15. I kick myself every day for not having the balls or the foresight to buy LEAPs on eog last October. I did manage to scoop up Exxon at 33, yielding 11%.
  16. What in gods green earth would they make that move for, lol.
  17. At least they are known for their excellent factory service centers.
  18. Damn. I would not want that shit next door.
  19. Where you headed?
  20. The hilux is great for what it is. All I was saying is, the seats aren’t that comfortable and it’s ancient technology compared to modern offerings in the USA. I spend about two hours a day in one for half the year.
  21. I work in oilfields in Central Asia and we exclusively drive hi luxes and land cruiser prados with the stick shift diesels. After spending that much time in the hilux, especially the back seat of one, I had no interest at all in buying a Tacoma. They are uncomfortable.
  22. The gap will continue to close but until international travel fully resumes it will lag.
  23. Long and sordid history of surly / shaggy collaborative investments.
  24. Usually .22 shot shell is intended for up close use on varmints. Think snakes and the like. Probably would work on rats if you can get one to hang around while you shoot it.
  25. Out of my group of friends, perhaps 20 people, one is a Colorado native. Lot of midwesterners and Californians.
