  1. Thanks!! Any tips on things we need to do? We're not going diving, so that's out. I'm an old fat fuck that likes to sit on the beach and drink fruity rum drinks. But, I don't mind getting out and about since we're there for 2 weeks.
  2. Yes. Have you been there?
  3. We're going there over Christmas. But, we're staying on the East End. Any tips on that side?
  4. So, semantics is the issue? Yes, I get there was hyperbole. But, there's a whole lot of that on this thread.
  5. I do have a question here. The arrow points at when Biden assumed office. While the rate of encounters increased after the low point of covid, it had basically stabilized prior to the election. Then, immediately after Biden assumed office the migrant encounters doubled in the first 6 months. How does that graph show that his point was wrong?
  6. Not as good as Jacala... But it's good. Of course, I unfortunately spent 30 years in DFW after leaving SA so maybe my taste buds adapted to having to deal with all the subpar TexMex up there. And now I'm in Corpus so I'm eating MUCH better than DFW but still different than SA. BTW, go try La Cabana out in Lakehills and let me know what you think. It's where my dad lives so I go there every time I see him.
  7. That's the whole reason I left...
  8. Look at Bandera... Or Boerne...
  9. Does she have big tits? That should direct your answer. hth
  10. Sorry, forgot this was an echo chamber. Mea culpa.
  11. El Chaparral in Helotes is pretty good. My go to, Jacala, unfortunately burned down a few years ago.
  12. We've got the other Guajillos here on N Padre Island. It's GOOOOD. But, the caveat. As they say, it is Mex without the Tex. Don't expect Tex Mex there.
  13. Well, they helped develop the US rocket and missile technology after 1945.
  14. Are you saying it's like this?
  15. Someone ordered a hitman from Temu
  16. This is not a snoot I would ever like to boop.
  17. Oh god...how will they survive this storm...
  18. It's decent. It's sports bar food. You won't write home about it but it hits the spot most times. And you won't bitch because you didn't get enough food. Food is good priced, beers are high compared the other places on the island (Boathouse is pretty cheap). I'm a regular so it's my spot anyways.
  19. Dos X dressed I believe. But I think the weak ones are bunkered up in their homes right now, they probably drink White Claw. I shall work on my word construction much betterer next time.
  20. JFC...all the Stripes on N Padre are closed and boarded up. Almost all the businesses are closed now. I'm sitting at Hard Knocks (which is still going to puss out and close at 8:00) with half the locals drinking some Shiner because the hurricapocalypse is going to hit land about 100 miles up the coast from us. Silver lining, though, I get to work remote tomorrow so shorts and flip flops it is.
  21. For some reason, I thought Katy bar the door had a different meaning...
  22. A friend of mine has a house in Palacios and his mom lives. He went today to go get his mom and bring her to their home in Long Mott. So, still pretty close to the track, but better.
  23. So...they're illegals???
  24. Well, tourons have to vacate here now, too.
