I am almost 56 and I play full-court basketball 3 days a week if I am not traveling for business. Playing baksetball helps keep the weight off as I am exercising and typically not eating as much. I swear it seems like I gain at least a pound a day if I travel any on business and it takes forever to get the weight back off. If I just look at food it latches onto me.
  2. Print some business cards that says “Consultant” on them. That would automatically make you an indisputable authority....or maybe not....who knows?
  3. As much as I would like to take in Yellowstone on this trip I will wait and do it again during the “off season”. I absolutely hate crowds and particularly in places like that where the openness is a major part of the experience. The last time I was in Yellowstone it was in late October and the crowds were sparse. There were to times when we were the only people at some of the features. I have been in the Black Hills numerous times and the surrounding region multiple times and absolutely love it. It will be my GF’s first time up there. She will be joining me for a week. She is not quite the hiker that I am so I may do the TR NP by myself. If time does become a factor what do you recommend at TR?
  4. I got the SSSS today headed to ATL. I am a regular at the airport so it is a short cursory check.
  5. Ok, seeing your postings of Yellowstone is making me want to go up there again soon despite the crowds. Last visited in October of 2020 and there was hardly anyone there. A spectacular place. I have a two week trip planned for the first half of June to the Black Hills, the Badlands NP, and Devil's Tower. I could possibly be persuaded to alter my plans and head a bit further west if i only had a place to stay. I am a responsible adult. Have all of my own hiking gear. Have my annual NPS pass. A Texas alum. If I only had a place to stay....
  6. Holy cow! Came here to post Alan Hale, Sr. I saw the other thread about this and was going to post there but saw this thread as being “the” thread. Two others: Peter Lorre and Sydney Greenstreet
  7. People who put a slice of lemon in my tea or on the rim when I explicitly tell them “no lemon please”.
  8. I blocked 11:30 to 1:30 every day. I strongly dislike straight up 1:00 meetings.
  9. SIAP in a different thread. Please tell me what the deal is with Jeep owners putting small plastic or fuzzy animals, etc on their dash?

Narrator: And it only gets worse....
  11. This explains a lot.
  12. Will Smith, "blah blah and blah blah blah".
  13. The spelling of "snake" made this even more funny.
  14. I watched 98% of this movie and enjoyed what I watched. However, during the big knife killing scene towards the end I did not watch. I literally closed my eyes. Not gonna lie, I HATE knife scenes. I can watch someone get shot, beat to a pulp, blown up, hit by a bus, etc. But a knife scene? I am out. I always carry a nice sized pocket knife. It is used for utility purposes only.
  15. No sexy time for you. But understand your predicament. Condolences.
  16. I have been told that it can be therapeutic to talk about your troubles.
  17. I googled the “wheels” guy. Apparently he is an attorney. So yeah, seems like there would be plenty of money laying around or friends to have found an alternative. It could be just one of those “hey, let’s do this moment”. Who knows? Kudos for CDC for sharing and being a normal person.
  18. Just now landed on a flight from Tucson to ATL. It was bumpy so we could not get out of our seats. Been needing to go for some time now. I am beginning to crown! Hurry up and get to the gate!! Prayers are appreciated.
  19. The only thing missing in the bottom photo is the waste basket off in the corner that has all of the used toilet paper in it. I have levitated above toilets similar to this in India and China. Never a fun moment.
  20. This is me. I travel the globe so time changes do not bother me. As I transition during DST all I have to do is to mentailly be aware of the time.
  21. My ex is a school teacher. While we were married she wanted to supplement her income by selling "high end" costume jewelry. When she approached me about selling it the conversation went pretty much like this: Her: I want to start making extra money. Me: OK, what is involved? Her: I have to buy the inventory at a heavily discounted cost. Plus set up selling parties with other women. It will be fun. Me: Ok, how much is the investment? Her: It depends on how much I buy and it can go up or down depending on how well I do. Plus, I get jewelry to wear at a discount. Me: Oh, Ok, now I see. Are you wanting to "sell" jewelry to make extra money or have it to wear? Her: Make money. The free or discounted jewelry is just a perk. Me: Ok, just as long as we are in the black when you get tired of doing this. Her: (angrily) You don't want me to do this do you? Me: I did not "say" that. I said, "Just be in the black when it is all said and done." Her: Fine. I won't do it. Me: Ok. She did eventually do it a couple of years later. She was still doing it when we divorced. Not sure if she ended up in the black (probably not).
  22. One of the episodes on tonight on TV Land had Heaton running around in a revealing nighty.
