How can even tell he is talking to the GA versus someone on the other end of the headset? Just because he is in close proximity to the GA does not mean he was talking to him. Plus, he is hardly yelling. If it is considered yelling then there are a lot of snowflakes about.
Absolutely love this series. Watched every episode at least once. It reminds me of when I was in grade/middle school in the early to mid-70’s when Kodak Eastman used to do a multi-media (slides/video) of different countries. Each year they would focus on a different country showing the countryside and culture.
The Sandlot.
First time to ever watch it. I know, I know, I know. I am 55 and really enjoyed it. I laughed out loud and really reflected on my childhood as baseball was top priority for me growing up...and other, “I can’t believe we did that stuff”.
I am going to need a John Madden telestrator (sp) for this. I am not musically inclined enough to know the details of which you speak. I just know that it sounds good and I like it.
Saturday's Hero released in 1937 starring Van Heflin with Marian Marsh.
Heflin is a college football star that is scalping his tickets to get by because it is hard to make ends meet as a collegiate athlete. He is caught doing this and loses his position on the team. He confronts the college president about this because the schools, collectively, are making $40 million per year on football and the athletes are getting "nothing" for the money that they are brining in for the schools. Sound familiar? Seems to be an issue forever!
A short, fun watch.
Hard butter be it in a pat package or one of those individual tiny plastic containers with the tear away top that is served at a restaurant. It is difficult to spread it on the bread without it clumping up or tearing the bread up. Serve the butter at room temperature so it can be properly spread.
I play basketball during my lunch hour at a local gym. About a month ago a high schooler played with us in a hoodie. I thought he was going to pass out from a heat stroke. What an idiot.
I ended up loaning him a tank top to finish the game in.
Yep, it was supposed to have been last September but....Covid. This year it will still be interesting to see how it turns out since many of the international folks will not be attending.
This. Marketing. There is a big event coming up in about 3 weeks for the mining industry in Vegas. It is every 4 years. This is my 7th time to attend so I am a veteran on how it goes. So far we have set in on numerous meetings with MarComm on how things go and have heard, endlessly, all of the marketing buzzwords of the day. The problem with MarComm is that they have never set across the table from a customer.
We have some newbies going to the event and they were in my office after the most recent meeting with MarComm. They were a bit nervous about the event based upon all of what MarComm was saying. I told them not to worry and to just do your job. I used the analogy of what Mike Tyson says about boxing, "You have a plan until the first punch is thrown".
This is me. Prior to Covid I was flying more than 100,000 miles per year primarily international for business.
For me vacation is my time. I plan on what I want to do but also leave the time to do it somewhat flexible. That is why I drive, plus you have no idea what you may get to see on the way. If I get to a location and decide that I want to spend a little more time there then that is no problem because I am not having to catch a flight. Road tripping is not an issue for me. It is not uncommon for me to drive 15 to 16 hours at a time should I want to to get somewhere. Last year alone I made trips to NC, Virginia, Tennessee and one to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons and another trip to NM, AZ, CO, and Utah. Just two weeks ago I made a loop (~5000 miles) up to Vermont and back from East Texas.
