  1. Lincoln Riley says that he typically doesn't buy into conspiracy theories, but he thinks you should watch the eye opening vaccine/flat earth/Qanon videos he found on YouTube because "they really make you think."
  2. Pretty cool first coming our way this weekend. My 4yo boy is really into all things space, and my dad just gave me his nice telescope. So, I bought a tent yesterday so we can have his first campout in the yard this weekend and look at the stars. Maybe even have some smores. When I told him the plan, you'd have thought I told him we're going to Disney. I love the age he's at, and that he's into so many things I was excited about at his age. I know the day will come when he'll be too cool to camp in the yard with his dad, so I'm going to enjoy this while I can.
  3. When asked what he wants to be when he grows up, Lincoln Riley said "Bob Stoops." This was last year.
  4. No, we'd be ok with a coach who can work for 4 years to develop his roster, solidify his coaching staff and culture, and then with the senior qb he developed and upper class talent go out and beat teams like tcu who haven't been within 10 spots of us in the recruiting rankings for the years that impacted players on the field today. That would be sufficient, and it's hardly asking for a championship to be handed to us. It's fucking tcu.
  5. Lincoln Riley has a side job with an exciting mlm company that he'd like to speak with you about.
  6. When Lincoln Riley's items don't scan correctly at the store, he loves asking the cashier if that means he gets it free.
  7. Lincoln Riley was a big BLM supporter until he found out what the "B" stood for.
  8. I'm not saying you're wrong, but do you have examples of where this has hurt us? Recruits who were clearly heading our way but failed to qualify? There's no reason we shouldn't be able to succeed academically and athletically. I refuse to believe those things are so at odds that we can't do both. If one is blocking the other than we should fix it.
  9. Lincoln Riley thinks the one thing 2020 is lacking is the infusion of politics into everyday life, and goes out of his way to turn all non political conversations into political ones.
  10. "Tom, you mentioned last week that we also had an 'awesome Sunday practice' after being embarrassed in Lubbock. Given the team played like warmed over dog shit this week, are you reevaluating the assumed correlation between Sunday practice awesomeness and game day preparedness?"
  11. Anyone doubting whether urban is the right option, tell me one coach (aside from saban and dabo who aren't moving) who you'd be more pissed to hear is taking over at ou? Or aggy? I can't think of a single coach I'd hate to see hired more at those schools, which tells you all you need to know about who we should be pursuing here. If we don't, it's only a year or two at max before usc pulls the trigger and we all get to watch as he builds them back to a power program, which is what he'll do wherever he goes next. Even if you argue he's past his coaching prime (and based on what, exactly?), the immediate recruiting jolt would help you rebuild for at least 2-3 years and set you up for the next guy. It's time to stop fucking around and go all in on someone proven. We tried the up and comer route twice in a row and got burnt. Giving Herman four years was probably the right thing given the "cake" he was handed and some of the early obvious improvement, but unless we go undefeated the rest of the way you have to argue he had his chance and failed. Time to level up.
  12. Tom is probably more than happy for the focus to turn to players staying or leaving for the eyes. Anything other than the horrendous end of game management is a win for him at the moment.
  13. Espn isn't going to like the limited SECSECSEC representation in that list.
  14. If we're being honest...
  15. It would be amazing if, after he establishes success at msu, he publicly announces he'll move to aggy for 50% of what they're paying dumbo on the condition that they permanently change the corps to dress like pirates instead of soldiers (since it's all dress up anyway).
  16. That's unpossible. Jimbo is a qb whisperer, didn't you hear?
  17. Texags is going peak aggy today: Yeah, it could be that Jimbo is so scared of backlash that he's afraid to bench mond. Or, it could be that you dumbfucks gave him a 100% guaranteed $75M contract and since he's just riding it out he doesn't give a shit how the team plays. I wonder which is more likely.
  18. I've seen a bunch of vague mention about yurcich not calling the game. Is there anything substantiated to that, or just throwing shit at the wall since we looked lackluster? I wasn't thrilled with our offense, we definitely looked out of sync, but we scored enough to win that game. The defense is where the flashing red lights went off yesterday. The offense we saw yesterday is good enough to win most games this season, and we're still down two of our best playmakers. Offensive line is still a concern, though.
  19. The pirate vs coach o is an underrated storyline for the first week back in the sec. Go bulldogs.
  20. Texags has developed a theory that Ausbon was pushing blm stuff within the team and Jimbo valiantly and voluntarily gave him the boot to put a stop to it. Oh, but bc Jimbo is such a nice guy, he let Ausbon frame it like he chose to leave instead of being booted. I shit you not, this is actually what they're claiming happened, and they're pretending the team is better off for the change.
  21. I have a friend from work who just did this. Her boyfriend is from Italy and got stuck there with his family in February. They had been waiting for things to clear up for him to come back to NY, but that was feeling unlikely so three weeks ago they both went to the UK, and last week they both went to Italy. She was super nervous about how it would actually play out once she got over there, but sounds like from London everything was pretty normal.
  22. That, and housing cost, are why Boulder proper is off the list. Reading about culture felt a lot like Seattle, and looking at real estate reminded me of looking in Austin these days.
