  1. Someone on a 9.95 site found an article in August 2023 saying he left the team right at the beginning of fall camp to enter the portal. So not sure what the rules are there since he practiced for a week or two but then never dressed out or played in a game.
  2. Seymore is not listed for any stats in 2023 on PFF. Basically disappeared for a year.
  3. I can't remember who said it (may have been Howe or Vogel), but apparently half of Baker's penalties for the season came in 2 games. I remember the Ohio State game was a rough one for him with 2 or 3 penalties and I think Florida may have been the other.
  4. The dude might suck, but I would gladly trade a couple of guys who never played meaningful snaps here in 2 years for someone who has 400+ meaningful snaps. He is more of a sure thing than Cruz, Kibble, Stroh or Neto at this point, and is younger than all 4. And one of the goals of this offseason was to get more sure things to raise the floor.
  5. There is an OL shortage throughout the sport and a lot of teams are willing to reach at that spot maybe more than any other position. And with that context, our OL portal departures still ended up at North Texas, Kansas, NC State and Baylor. Then you have Bama, one of the few SEC teams who ran the ball worse than us last year, needing to moneywhip one of our backups to help fill out their depth chart. Meanwhile, the Sikorski fella we got took visits to Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas and Texas. Different type of weight class than what the majority of our departures ended up at.
  6. Final Rivals top 300 rankings #29 Richard Wesley #32 Dia Bell #48 Jamarion Carlton #50 Tyler Atkinson #61 John Turntine #80 James Johnson #87 Kosi Okpala #139 Jermaine Bishop (lol) #153 Nicolas Robertson #182 Kohen Brown #216 Derrek Cooper #258 Toray Davis #269 Samari Matthews #296 Rocky Cummings
  7. 3 recent job postings by UT in the last 7 days: Director of College Scouting, Football Recruiting Coordinator, Football Special Assistant to the Head Coach, Football IIRC, they have to post the job for a certain period of time even if a candidate has already been identified.
  8. If the goal is to keep Arch upright as much if possible, a part time starter from a service academy offense doesn’t sound super appealing. But I guess beggars can’t be choosers at this point.
  9. IT said they heard multiple portal OL are on campus today.
  10. It would be pretty funny to see your reaction if we took him then found out in August he isn't eligible to play.
  11. Burton said this morning that the WKU guard doesn't have any eligibility left and is basically using the portal to try to get a school to fight for him to get another season. Would make sense considering his talent level and the fact he is unsigned at this point in the process.
  12. Looks like this guy took the majority of his 2025 reps at the two guard spots.
  13. Visiting today, per IT https://georgiadogs.com/sports/football/roster/Jamal-Meriweather/9552
  14. McDonald and Littleton started every game last year, and Kade Phillips was starting games by November.
  15. I highly doubt Flood just sits in the corner twiddling his thumbs during every recruiting visit. Or that Sark runs the OL film review after every game. Or that Sark takes Flood's phone every night so he can text recruits on his behalf. I'm sure Gerry is trying to say that Sark has final veto power on all personnel and recruiting decisions (which head coach doesn't have that?) therefore you can't blame Flood when Texas passes on a kid or makes an incorrect recruiting eval. It's funny how Gerry was a vocal anti-PK guy and was downright giddy when he was let go, but don't say or suggest anything similar regarding Flood or he'll say that firing assistants is making someone the "scapegoat" edit: CTJ pretty much beat me to it.
  16. Is there a team out there that isn't fucked if one position group has a rash of injuries?
  17. Chatman is the one who interests me the most. Bobby said he was coming off an injury last year and wasn't ready to fully play. I remember in the OU game Goosby went out for a few plays and Chatman is who replaced him at LT. He had the most pedigree in that 2023 OL class. Was ranked #102 by Rivals. If Cojoe and Chatman can't be counted out to be in the circle of trust (top 8-9 OL in the program who they trust to play in a game) as 4th year juniors, then I would hope they wouldn't still be here.
  18. I don't even care if they want to try to spin it, but they need to stop with the "Flood isn't the playcaller or head coach so what he is supposed to do?" non-sense. Or Gerry bringing up penalties and discipline when asked about OL transfers.
  19. It must be one hell of a friendship they have with him. It is tiring to hear Gerry say "I don't believe in scapegoats, Flood isn't the head coach so he isn't making the decisions". If that was the case then no assistant coach in football would ever deserve criticism.
  20. Visited Texas and Mississippi State last week
  21. IT just said we were starting to ramp up our pursuit of Tallek Lockette (Texas State OL) last week before pulling back. Seems something else may be in the works now at guard.
  22. Several predictions coming in for Texas this morning. Seems like we may have our 2027 QB take.
