Today was the first time he has really shown a legitimate curveball right? He has been mostly fastball, slider, change.
That curveball changes his ceiling as a starting pitcher
This team is capable of winning a title, they have already shown that. Just about playing at that level when it matters most and getting ARod and Belyeu back healthy
I hope Schloss uses the SEC tourney to reset the rotation. Assuming we host, Luke needs to pitch the 1/4 game.
Well Luke having that curveball changes things for him. Gives him a legit 4 pitch mix and that curve sits ~17 mph off his fastball. Really messed Georgia up once Max started leaning on that pitch
Next inning is going to be big for Luke. Curley on the mound for Georgia is already dipping down to 94 on his fastball from 97. Need Luke to keep us in this
Starting this thread so there is an all encompassing place to discuss this rather than it being brought up in every single game thread. That way people have easy access to this information rather than the same questions being asked again and again.
In order to watch SEC Network you must subscribe to a cable provider or streaming service that includes the SEC Network. If you do, you can either view live through said provider or you can log in on the ESPN app using your providers log in credentials.
Subscribing to ESPN+ does NOT give you access to the SEC Network
I also believe @NBHorn7 has provided a YouTube channel that streams Texas games that he can post in here that people can follow
I’d also like to see Schloss shake up the lineup a bit more tomorrow Jalin has too much swing and miss to be batting 2nd.
1-3 should be Ethan, Will, and Rylan until Rodriguez comes back. I’d prefer Kimble 4th and Jalin 5th because Kimble has better bat to ball skills but you could flip them and it wouldn’t make much of a difference
I hope Vaughn doesn’t get that job either. I could see it playing out where he passes on that job this time around like Shloss did when Patterson was the AD here and hopes it comes open down the road
Really crucial that we still have Max rested tomorrow so you can have a quick hook on Luke. Phelps being out helps even out the losses of Adrian and Max
Adrian doesn’t need to fight through anything with this team sitting at 24-4, hope they hold him out until he is 100% ready to go
Texas has 27 errors on the season, Adrian has 6 (.833) and Borba has 4 (.900). Sad part is both have been beneficiaries of generous scoring decisions so it could be worse statistically speaking
He already knew that which is why I’m surprised. Less concerned about the outcome of the game and more concerned with complete lack of energy out of that dugout when you know this is Texas State’s jihad game every year.
A lot of unfortunate shit happened tonight, that’s baseball. Effort was abysmal though
