  1. You'll need to be more specific.
  2. I’m happy to keep listing out very good original movies if you’d like. Eddington, Train Dreams, Bugonia, Blue Moon, Black Bag, Hamnet, The Mastermind, Friendship, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Bring Her Back, Together, Companion, Sorry Baby, etc etc etc. As is almost always true, the problem lies not with original ideas and original movies, but the movie going audience at large. Studios exist to make money, and Americans by and large are brain-dead dip shits that slurp up sequel schlock like it’s a 44oz Dr Pepper at McDonalds. Rinse and repeat.
  3. Saying Hollywood is out of ideas on the heels of One Battle, Sinners, Marty Supreme and Weapons is really something.
  4. It’s so rare that shit bag is right about anything, he has no clue how to handle it. So he decided to deride a beloved Longhorn for good measure.
  5. That’s a woman who loves a casserole and a Family/Faith lettering for decoration.
  6. thanks, seems to be fixed now! Appreciate the responsiveness. For what it’s worth, I’m liking the new layout overall.
  7. This probably goes in trivial things that annoy the shit out of you, but closing out a quote post is near impossible
  8. Not exclusively. He had huge penalties on defense multiple times this year. Vandy and Arkansas jump to mind.
  9. You think Roberson is a fantastic corner? He made a good play today, but I feel like I usually see him fucking up several times per game and getting screamed at on the sideline. Agree on the other guys. Phillips is a dog
  10. Barnes looked really fast on that sack.
  11. I swear to fucking christ if nicole shows up in this thread I will do everything in my power to make sure you take a steel toe boot to the nuts.
  12. Imma’s a good dude and great site owner, but his football takes have always been Helobious-esque. The last two pages are particularly bad, I’ll give you that.
  13. I didn’t realize being at one with one’s evilness is all it took to be redeemable.
  14. So just to be clear, for you, the military officer who ordered the execution of his biological daughter so that he could be admitted into a white supremacist group is “not even close” to being the least redeemable character in the film?
  15. A lot of teams are paying a lot of money now, not just Texas. How do you think Ohio State fans felt about Ryan Day winning a championship 12 months ago?
  16. We need a cringe face reaction for that one.
  17. Watched the new criterion 4K this week. Incredible
  18. Makes me sad that Big Jim has wasted the latter half of his career on this. You know who doesn’t give a shit about my opinion? Big Jim
  19. Incredible movie. The panning intro, the across the street father and son routine, the final conversation between Travis and Jane. Magic stuff. Criterion’s 4K restoration is primo.
  20. Edge rotation will be interesting next year. Simmons obviously won’t come off the field much, so how does Muschamp use Jackson, Terry (assuming he doesn’t grow into an interior player), Zina, and maybe Spence if he doesn’t move to off ball LB.
  21. I think Penn dialed it up to a 15, and I would be interested in the movie where he is at a 7. You need only look at past PTA films for menacing yet humorous characters that don’t veer into cartoon characters. I’m sure Penn will win, even though a massively more nuanced and well acted Benicio performance is staring them right in the face. Historically the Academy loves a show boat performance and is inept at awarding excellence, although it is improving in both respects.
  22. I agree with Eskimo’s responses on 1 and 3. That stuff all just seems completely unimportant in the context of this particular movie. I actually agree with you on point 2 as it relates to Lockjaw. It was one of the only aspects of the movie I bumped against. I would have preferred that he be performed in a less cartoonish manner. I get that we live in a time with actualized cartoon villains, but I just never fully bought him as a real threatening presence.
  23. The problem is that most of those highly trafficked threads get inundated with the worst posters on this website. It’s a fucking beating trying to read a single page with 15-20 ignored comments from nicole, the burnt orange handle and the druggy guy. I don’t remember the old shaggy having this many voluminous idiots, but it’s probably hindsight thing.
