the 2023 speaker of the house voting thread of implosion
The magas are better off allowing Jeffries to win than dealing with McCarthy at this point. He's not going to forget this embarrassment. Plus, they will always have enough votes to recall Jeffries.

the 2023 speaker of the house voting thread of implosion
Jeffries winning would be funny, but the Rs would get their shit together enough to recall him within a week, and then still not be able to get anyone elected.

the 2023 speaker of the house voting thread of implosion
Yeah, he's out there looking like losing 6 times in 2 days is his fetish.

the 2023 speaker of the house voting thread of implosion
Just 5. It's amazing that they keep voting, like McCarthy is going to swing 15 votes. Even if he changes the rules so a single member can call for his removal, he's not going to get 15 of them on his side.

the 2023 speaker of the house voting thread of implosion
The voting is rigged. The nominee is supposed to negotiate, give concessions, and make promises to secure enough votes to ensure victory. McCarthy is the first dumbass in 100 years to not be able to do that before his first ballot.

The Undercard: Fiesta Bowl: Michigan Vs TCU
The games you win matter more than the games you lose. Winning a national championship is better than winning a conference championship, but if TCU loses to Georgia, they didn't win anything. And I agree that the Big 12 championship game is pointless, but we only have the game because of TCU, so it's hard to feel sorry for them.

roach (-13.5) v. uga
I think NIL and the transfer portal might actually be helping mid-sized P5 programs. They weren't beating blue bloods for recruits before, and now they can be an attractive destination for former high level recruits who aren't seeing the field.

SEC fatigue is very powerful and very real.

The Undercard: Fiesta Bowl: Michigan Vs TCU
I'd like their odds a lot more against Ohio State, but TCU is certainly capable of beating Georgia.

The Undercard: Fiesta Bowl: Michigan Vs TCU
TCU can run the ball and Michigan can't.
-
The Undercard: Fiesta Bowl: Michigan Vs TCU
Michigan is going to have to get a turnover and also figure out how to pick up a blitz to get back into the game.
-
The Undercard: Fiesta Bowl: Michigan Vs TCU
Michigan just doesn't look very good. TCU has been better up front.
-
The Undercard: Fiesta Bowl: Michigan Vs TCU
Michigan probably would have a loss or two in any other conference but the ACC.

CFB coaching carousel
Nobody with any desire to coach for more than 4 years should take a job at an FBS program with semi-recent success that doesn't take transfers in the portal era.

Deion Sanders "Coach Prime" Now At Colorado
He could be a long snapper. Nobody can hit the long snapper. They make kickers look tough.
-
Left Behind: A Quick Dose Of Post Big 12 Reality
He has no reason to let them go early. Every compromise offered to date would be a net loss to the conference.

CFB coaching carousel
Not unless an aggy fan hit the powerball or something.

Matt Campbell is a little bitch-made pussy
The number of players that OSU is losing is nothing to worry about, but the amount of production that is entering the portal should be very alarming. Kids who are contributing don't usually want to leave.

Realignment talk not going away
I'm seeing that game drew 9.41 million viewers. So 10,000 more, give or take the rounding.

This is a man. He's over 40. He's a man.
Gundy must have done something to lose his locker room.

Deion Sanders "Coach Prime" Now At Colorado
What about being kicked off of the team for non-medical reasons? Not arguing anything here, just genuinely curious.

Realignment talk not going away
The timing of playoff expansion is what will ultimately save the Big 12. Some of the non-brands will become a lot more marketable when they start making the playoffs with some regularity. With a field of 12, they probably get 2 bids more often than not.

Sure, but does that not still count against your scholarship limit?

It's mostly going to be backups that transfer. Kids who were highly rated in high school but aren't seeing the field are going to try to find homes that offer playing time. Usually if the kid was actually playing, he's in the portal either because his coach got fired or he doesn't like his coach.

Deion Sanders "Coach Prime" Now At Colorado
I think the Pac 12 requires schools to commit to four years, and that is why Prime is trying to scare players into entering the portal before he even shows up. I could be wrong about that, though.
