Guess we'll find out.

Sure, and he absolutely does need to use the portal heavily. I just think it's stupid to start running kids off before you even meet them and see them work out. Bad teams still have some good players.

It's not like every single player on Colorado's roster is completely worthless. Also, it's pretty rare for a kid who is good enough to start at his current school to enter the transfer portal. You can find stars, but you can't build an entire roster from the portal. I get weeding out the kids who don't want to work to get better, but I really don't see this working out for him. CU is going to be terrible next season. He's going to have to rebuild with high school kids, and this program won't be competitive until 2025 at the very earliest. I think he gets fired halfway through his third season.

2022 National Rankings (AP, Coaches, CFP) Meta Thread
Texas is Alabama's best win. TCU has a win over KSU.

TCU vs Kansas State - Big 12 Championship Game Thread
K-State is going to win this game. Bryce Young probably sits it out.

TCU vs Kansas State - Big 12 Championship Game Thread
I would honestly like their chances of winning a little bit more. Backing into a championship with a loss never goes well. I guess the playoffs could be different.

TCU asked for this game.

Conference Championship Games - Discussion
It started around 2003, when the best college football team of all time, Oklahoma, lost to Kansas State 35-7 in the Big 12 championship game.

2022 Big Ten Championship - Purdue vs. Michigan
ISU also is solid. They don't belong anywhere near a game for any sort of championship.

2022 Big Ten Championship - Purdue vs. Michigan
I think you have to put in teams that actually won if (IF!) Michigan loses. You can't have a legitimate playoff with 3/4 teams that didn't win their conference. You would have to start looking at Utah and Kansas State.

2022 Big Ten Championship - Purdue vs. Michigan
That's irrelevant. They are playing Purdue. Win or go home.

Conference Championship Games - Discussion
It's not always going to be a 4 loss team, and conferences are getting to be pretty large. Any conference with more than 10 schools needs a championship game to crown a legitimate champion.

2022 Big Ten Championship - Purdue vs. Michigan
It's true. Iowa State would be a pick 'em if they had Michigan's spot in this game. If Michigan wins, all is good. But if they somehow lose...

2022 Big Ten Championship - Purdue vs. Michigan
They are looking better, but it would feel nice if they would put their foot on the gas. There isn't a single Big 12 team that is definitely worse than Purdue.

Conference Championship Games - Discussion
Legitimacy. You can't seriously call yourself a conference champion if you don't play the best team of the group of teams not on your schedule.

Conference Championship Games - Discussion
If all of the teams are shit teams, it's better to put in teams that win their way in.

2022 Big Ten Championship - Purdue vs. Michigan
Michigan looks a whole lot worse than both TCU and Kansas State right now. Very unimpressive.
-
2022 Big Ten Championship - Purdue vs. Michigan
It can only be said about TCU vs. K-State. Michigan hasn't played half of the Big 10 West, and we shouldn't assume they would have run the table against that shit show.

2022 Big Ten Championship - Purdue vs. Michigan
Fuck that. The Big 12 championship doesn't make any sense, but in conferences where you don't play everyone, the game is essential.

TCU vs Kansas State - Big 12 Championship Game Thread
Kansas didn't belong in the 2007 championship game, fwiw. They were clearly worse than Missouri, who lost to OU twice. Just was pointing out that it has happened before.

TCU vs Kansas State - Big 12 Championship Game Thread
Yeah, they lost on their home field to Kentucky.

Conference Championship Games - Discussion
If Michigan loses, the whole system should be reevaluated. There is no credibility when 3/4 of the teams couldn't even win their own fucking conference and back in after losing their last game. Has anyone ever backed into a championship and not been embarrassed? I can only think of Nebraska vs Miami and Oklahoma vs LSU. I would push for a Georgia, Utah, Kansas State, Alabama as a better field than Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, TCU if Michigan loses. Georgia would be the only team that belongs in either scenario.

Conference Championship Games - Discussion
I really don't know. It's already ridiculous enough that we are looking at 2 non-champs backing into the game. A loss to Purdue on a neutral field, playing for a championship, would make me seriously start looking at Utah, LSU, and Kansas State of I am on the committee.
