I’m very impressed by the refs that are able to make it look even at a macro level. The sheer number of touch fouls that FTA received that were momentum shifting in the game is pretty amazing. The one where FTA fell on his own volition as noted upthread was atrocious and the fact that they got to keep the ball when the result was a travel was laughable. Somewhat satisfying seeing Wolves fans on Reddit and X notice the same thing Nuggets fans did.
If one team is allowed to maul you and get called fouls on a small percentage of those mauls, but that same team when they get touched or breathed on gets fouls called in their favor, that is a mentally draining thing for a competitor.
If Wolves are to win, they’re going to need to drive to the basket and demand some fairness on the touch calls near the rim.
It feels like this has been predetermined. OKC is going to the finals.
I didn’t. Gonna be snarky, at least be correct. Statistically speaking Embiid had the most FTA per game of any modern day MVP. Harden 6th. Yes Harden sells his fouls as bad as SGA does.

This is certainly a take. AG clearly pulled his hamstring on the kick ball with about 20 seconds left in the 4th of G6. Was limping around the court for the remainder of the game.
This is rich coming from a fan of a team that has feasted on flopping in a 7 game series that is also clearly propped up by the refs on those flops. Similar plays by OKC on defense yield comments of “oh that’s just good defense”. At this point it’s laughable, but both teams are doing what the NBA wants: Game 7. I can’t recall the last time I saw a team this “good” that collectively flops as much as SGA, J Dub and Dort do.
Is what it is, but SGA will go down with Embiid as the biggest flopping free throw merchant MVPs in history.
For sure. AG hurt his hamstring at the end of the game on that kick ball. He was moving pretty gingerly. Here’s to hoping he’s not too hindered Sunday.
As stated, Watson should be getting more tick. Also, for how much of a waste of money and space Zeke Nnaji has been in the past, last 1/3rd of the season he was playing decent and was at least a body to bring in for a Jokic spell that was much better than anything Dario Saric was showing, especially defensively. Watson, Strawther and Nnaji aren’t getting enough minutes, especially in a game like G2 where result of game was known at half. Can’t believe Jokic had to foul himself out so Adelman didn’t have a choice.
Next season, DaRon Holmes should see good minutes. All accounts behind the scenes are he’s showing a lot of promise.
At this point I’m most interested in who we hire as a head coach, because past 2 4th quarter collapses to me mean Adelman has taken himself out of the conversation.
Just terrible finishing to games the past 2 by the Nuggets. Had the series upset in our hands. Series may go to 7, but the series is lost in game 5 at 2-2.
Just a rough game today. Bad shooting on both sides. Game trend started the same as G3 (lost 1st, won the next 2 quarters) just that the Nuggets got their ass kicked in the 4th. Disappointed we couldn’t find AG or CB more when Murray wasn’t finding his shot. Up 6 to start the 4th to go up 3-1 only to lose hurts real bad right now.
Sunday is gonna be so fun. No one had us winning the series. Just having a chance to go up 3-1 at home against the Thunder is an amazing place to be. We win and Thunder are cooked.
Seconded on MPJ last night. Not only did he come out hot and stay hot, but he also hustled and played urgent which he hadn’t been doing as much.
AG so clutch again with the 3 to put us in OT with 27 seconds left.
I can’t believe we didn’t go back to AG for the last second shot in regulation with how Jokic had been shooting all game.
CB locked down SGA tonight is what happened. The same thing happened to Harden last series as the series went on, Harden had less and less. As much credit as we give the Thunder’s perimeter D, Braun and Westbrook as a perimeter defensive duo made the difference tonight.
