Isaiah Taylor couldn't really shoot the 3 consistently, but he pushed the hell out of the rock and was decent scorer from the PG position.- Texas basketball '21-'22: Welcome Chris Beard
I believe we were supposed to play in either the early season NIT or another New York based holiday tournament (coach's against cancer maybe?) this season, but our participation was canceled and the hastily put together Abe Lemons classic took the place of those games. Every offseason around May or June @Lobo or someone else typically post newly scheduled games or tournaments for the upcoming year's schedule.- Texas basketball '21-'22: Welcome Chris Beard
There's far more leeway in college basketball. Home and home series with top flight opponents are often set up 6 months to a year prior to the first game of the series. Early season and holiday tournaments are typically only set up 6 to 8 months prior to taking place.- Texas at Iowa State 1pm on ESPN+
1pm central time ain't exactly an early start.- Texas at Iowa State 1pm on ESPN+
He's seemingly even more unathletic than Ramey but can't shoot anywhere close to as well as Courtney.- Texas at Iowa State 1pm on ESPN+
We'll never have a road game on LHN.- Texas basketball '21-'22: Welcome Chris Beard
I think we played Nova during that time last year, but it was peak Covid so no fans were there. Also I believe Gonzaga was scheduled during that period as well, but the game was canceled.- NBA 2021-2022
All you had to do to know he was capable as far as carrying a team is watch what he did for Murray St while he was there. Back then he had an old school point guard way about him in that he set up players without having to actually make the final pass. In the NBA he hasn't demonstrated that as much, partly because the NBA has evolved into a spread pick 'n roll game and partly because he's been such a dominant scorer that he's changed his game. Regardless I believe if the circumstances were to present themselves he could be that style of player again.- Dallas Cowboys 2021 Regular Season Thread -- Money, Masks, & Masochism

A team's performance in the prior year only affects like 2 games (now maybe 3 games in a 17 game season) on their schedule. I've never understood this argument about 1st place or 3rd place schedule. 6 games are against your own division and another 8 games are determined by where your division is on it's 4 year rotating schedule again other divisions. Way too much is made about 1st place or 3rd place schedule. Especially when you consider the fact that over half of the previous year's playoff teams get replaced the next year by a new set of playoff teams.- NBA 2021-2022
I'm probably biased because I never really understood the love for AI and his 41% FG, but how exactly does AI have the more complete offensive package?- Texas vs Oklahoma @7:30 on LHN and texassportspass
He meant to say FG attempts.- Texas vs Oklahoma @7:30 on LHN and texassportspass
Hyperbole much?!?- Texas vs Oklahoma @7:30 on LHN and texassportspass
Old school like an Alex English or Adrian Dantley. Gets all his points 12 feet and in. And he probably can't jump over a phone book.- 2021-22 Big XII Basketball Thread of Fuck Baylor
Where the fuck did that guy come from? I guess I haven't watched Tech much this year but Jizos Christ that dunk was insane.- Texas basketball '21-'22: Welcome Chris Beard
Yeah the player development guy Beard brought along made his bones early in Lebron's career in Cleveland, which is a big reason why there's so much buzz surrounding Bronny James' interest in us.- Texas basketball '21-'22: Welcome Chris Beard
I don't know that pace is the #1 issue with players. Our offensive sets often call for 3 or 4 players inside of the 3 point line. Granted we have constant movement, but alignments like that make for limited space when a player has the ball below the foul line extended. .- Black Monday NFL 2022 thread
Miami's owner is a big time University of Michigan booster and Shefter is saying Ross doesn't want to do anything to ruin Michigan. Of course as an alum himself, Shefter may be speaking from his heart rather than anything he's heard.- Texas basketball '21-'22: Welcome Chris Beard
I was thinking the same thing and made a similar post in the conference thread. Jaylon is basically a Jordan Hamilton comp to me. He's just now realizing he's not as big and athletic relative to college players as he was to high school players. Maybe he's slightly less explosive than Hamilton, but they remind me of each other (and hamilton wasnt necessarily super explosive himself). Regardless, Beard's offense is difficult for young wings like Jaylon to get used to. The way high school ball is played nowadays (with empty post sets) they're not used to the lack of space and the resulting quick and decisive decisions required from this offense.- Cowboys vs 49ers: Wild Card Round
Anybody else notice how absolutely atrocious the ref's spot is on this play? Dude spotted the ball 2 yards shallow of where Harper lands.- Cowboys vs 49ers: Wild Card Round
You seem to be confused about Goodell's role here and who is actually running things. .- Dallas Cowboys 2021 Regular Season Thread -- Money, Masks, & Masochism
Stephen has proven to be fairly inept at judging the market. He tries to wait out every high profile contract negotiation only to end up paying even more than the player originally asked for. Demarcus Lawrence, Zeke, Zach Martin, and Dak all took him to the woodshed. Cooper was the only deal where he managed to get it right and that was solely due to Dak's negotiations taking place at the exact same time. I agree with you on Charlotte though. We'd be better off if she were handling player negotiations. Her choice of schools lets you know she's the real brains in the family.- Dallas Cowboys 2021 Regular Season Thread -- Money, Masks, & Masochism
With the rotation of games to London, Mexico, and probably one more international location in the near future I think the odd # of home games was already incorporated into their plans. Beyond that, owners make so much money before one ticket is bought that more games for TV inventory is always going to be the prudent move from their perspective. - Point and laugh at Shaka Smart
