Tell me about ou
I'll tell you about OU It seems they're headed down the same path we traveled after shitcanning MB. Of course since they're in the SEC instead of Rig12 recruiting won't suffer like ours did. That may or may not mean wandering the wilderness as long as we did, but the weekly competition is better in the SEC as well, no in season scrimmages. Really it depends on VB's hire at OC panning out. Not just in X's and 0's, but building momentum in recruiting as well. I wish all of them the worst luck possible, we need at least a decade of dominance in Dallas so they can't close the W/L gap of the historic series.

SEC assesses Texas penalties for bottle-throwing
This ^^ Original call was shit and should have never been called, but you don't reverse it after you already announced it to everyone and both teams are lined up ready to run a play.

SEC assesses Texas penalties for bottle-throwing
That might be the case if it werent for Tennessee fans doing the same thing a couple years back. Same $250k fine, and bottle throwers were banned for the rest of the year.

SEC assesses Texas penalties for bottle-throwing
How about fining SEC officials for being incompetent and creating the situation in the first place? I thought Rig12 officiating had no peers in any other conference, but from what I've seen so far the SEC zebras are just as bad if not worse. At least they don't take quite as long in attempting to straighten out their fuckups, and I must give them credit for being consistent in not calling holding. We got away with some, Georgia got away with some. Having said that, I think in this particular game we would have benefitted from them being sticklers about holding on the O-lines. Georgias O-line isn't anything special, but they look pretty good when they can clothesline our edge rushers with impunity.

SEC Refs Suck
They do indeed suck, but it wasnt exactly in an unfavorable way if we're honest. How many times have we had a bullshit call overturned in the Rig12?

Who do we fire?
Sobering up wll take a while, but ok.
-
Who do we fire?
Will we? This is a team that got schooled by Bama who lost to bottom feeder Vandy and Tenner.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
Fuck that, we got embarrassed at home in front of a shitload of recruits. If anything that was an advertisement for the figtin' Kirby's.

Game week 2024, week 7 Georgia @ Texas
Big12 title game was a good place for it, and also against select SEC teams (aggy, maybe pig) but NOT while playing B1G, ACC or even ex Rig12 schools other than maybe tortilla tech...but hopefully they would need to be good enough to make the playoffs before we face them ever again.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
It's hard for me to get into recruiting while the season is in full swing, but I'm hearing if things go well this weekend it could be Errbody 2, Electric Bugaloo? I'm here for it, and if we manage to pluck a 5* or two out of the state of Georgia I truly won't know what to do with my hands.

Game week 2024, week 7 Georgia @ Texas
I'm at the same place, can't believe I was actually against expanding the playoffs. Actually I'm still against it and maintain 8 is the perfect expansion number. Just hope it doesn't go past 12 or the sense of accomplishment and exclusivity will be totally gone.

Game week 2024, week 7 Georgia @ Texas
That won't change now that we're SEC ourselves. Conference just provides a schedule to play, other than that we don't have much use for them.

Game week 2024, week 7 Georgia @ Texas
Not unless he left all the rust on the Cotton Bowl turf. He has to get back to that pre-injury ease with which he saw the whole field and distributed the ball efficiently. Yes, some of that was made easier by the competition, but playing like he did Saturday would have made the ULM and UTSA tighter games than they were, and I don't think Michigan's D is that bad either....or not much worse than OU if we're honest.

Game week 2024, week 7 Georgia @ Texas
I know, but in some peoples minds (casual, non gambling fans) we should lose to Georgia. In my mind that would be huge disappointment, much moreso now that we're not only undefeated but ranked #1.

Game week 2024, week 7 Georgia @ Texas
The south (more southwest-ish) IS rising again, just not in the way mouth breathing trailer park denizens would like it to.

Game week 2024, week 7 Georgia @ Texas
Feels like this will be our first game against a legit offense. Sure they're missing some weapons from last season, but this isn't a talent depleted Georgia team, go back and look at their recruiting rankings the past 3 years. Having said that, we have serviceable DT's, and elevated EdGe and LB play..much better than last season. Even the secondary no longer gives me anxiety, they are actually defending passes (who knew that could be done?) and even when they allow a catch there isn't much YAC. I'll be surprised if we blow them out, but in my mind we are no longer dogs (no pun intended) in this game, especially at home. Oh, and just watched the recorded broadcast of the OU game, kudos to ABC for great sound. I heard "Texas...Fight!", the LHB and even OU SUCKS! chants louder and prouder than ever before, hope our UGA game is the same. [emoji23]

2024 WR Silas Bolden (Transfer)
Silas doesn't do anything half assed, he's 100% locked in when he's on the field.
