  1. That's not even a successful play on words, dipshit. We're good from here though, seen enough.
  2. You didn't present a hypothetical. You presented a false premise, which, like moths to a flame, draws idiotic conversation into back and forths while we're actually trying to separate wheat from the chaff in a real transfer discussion.
  3. This isn't NCAA 2026. You don't get to just whip up scenarios and then go make them happen. There are not currently two OGs in the portal worth $1M+ each. I'm not seeing any swing Tackles fitting that description, either. Meanwhile, Texas has been working with the agent on Seaton's outlook and portal entrance for more than a month. How about taking what is actually available as a scenario and focusing commentary, hopes and fears, and whatever else floats your boat on that versus wishcasting and acting as though your premise is real? There are not going to be this many schools that can meet the ask. Nakos clearly talked to Oregon, Texas, Florida and ATM. Two are in and two gave it the old "don't count us out!" The other programs are names dropped from the agent end. That serves Nakos just fine, as that is some hearty clickbait. There are very few schools left standing with the dry powder this is going to require. Miami could well think they could be a player, but they have no idea what danger their current roster could be in from an attrition aspect, as almost all other schools have already discovered. Ole Miss doesn't have the juice and I'm skeptical of LSU, given how much they have committed in so many different directions already, especially since they're poor and spending money they don't even have after signing Leavitt. Ohio State and Tech could be players if they want to be. It's got to sting Joey McDUI to have to go back to Campbell and say "I know we've committed millions in dead money this year to have Ojo wearing our jersey on the sideline, but I've also found this OT that we really need for 2026 and he's going to cost us double+ for what we're paying Ojo." See above.
  4. “Fuck reading this thread! I have advice to give about immediately spending other peoples’ money!”
  5. The expectation is that whoever lands him will be paying $3.5M and there are only a couple of schools willing to do that at this stage. If he visits Texas, then Texas decided to participate with eyes wide open. Allegedly there is a growing sentiment that 1st round Tackles can play either RT or LT if they’re worthy of the pick and that they can come from either spot out of college. If you haven’t watched him play, he’s a brick wall in the passing game and an indifferent run blocker. Motivate him through winning in a contract year and the run blocking can improve. It’s not like the dude doesn’t have great feet. Still, a right side of Baler and Goosby to run behind would be pretty inviting for Sarkisian.
  6. We will not be square with that piece of shit fanbase and others like it for another two centuries. Fuck all of them and I hope they die cursing Texas as Texas is hoisting another trophy on TV.
  7. The whole thing has been a mystery to me since I heard about it a long time ago. That said, this is one of two “moonshots” that I’ve been from Missouri on. He’s halfway there now. Like the Zen Master said, “we’ll see”.
  8. Does Texas make sense here, Atticus?
  9. Excuse you, sir? I hear this kind of commentary after the first Monday of April every year, thank you very much.
  10. If JJR isn’t being converted to LB, they allegedly thought he’d be good at S.
  11. There is actually a photo out there somewhere of him condescending McCoy visibly. Maybe a video as well. It's pretty infuriating. Right. When Mack got lazy in recruiting, he sewed the seeds to his downfall. He was elite on the recruiting end, that and kicker whispering were his elite traits, and when he betrayed his recruiting skills, he created his own doomsday machine.
  12. I walked up to the assistant GM at a restaurant I was working at, just as he was finishing an interview with a heavyset gal. I didn't particularly care for the guy and just needed him to answer a question about the start of that day's evening shift, but he felt compelled to give me hiring advice, man to man, as if I'd asked. "Not hiring that one, I can tell you that." "Oh yeah, why?" "She's fat. Never hire a fat employee." "Why is that?" "Because they never leave." I wonder how many parents and HS coaches are going to start giving players who are pondering entering the portal the fat girl advice - "You hang onto that scholarship with all of your whiteknuckle might, dum dum. That portal is a black hole for guys like you who haven't played long enough for anyone to have any idea who in the hell you are." There's going to be some of that, I have no doubt.
  13. I tried to build up my own internal enthusiasm for the Strong hire when it was made. I was happy for the change but a skeptic of his as a HC. Then there was talk of him being given a blank check to get whatever OC he needed. 2-3 weeks go by and it is obvious that the guy wasn’t even speaking to candidates. Then Shawn Watson was hired. I was done from that day forward. Watching people try to justify it and then go so far as to defend that rube was some of the only entertainment I could derive. The “Shawn Watson Has Overhauled the Offense” campaign after the first season, heading towards South Bend out of the summer was the ripest these boards have ever been for trolling. I had people climbing over each other on 247 to tell me what a fucking idiot and asshole I was any time I’d run the guy and their logic over. The Notre Dame beatdown was humiliating, but mocking large swaths of 247 posters repeatedly from that game through the next year was a small silver lining. I haven’t been on that site and posting in a decade and there is still a faction of coach lovers over there who still absolutely despise me.
  14. It was all him. There was zero pressure from elsewhere to play Stroh or whoever he wanted. I think it was UTEP where he not only got pimpslapped silly on a play but also then took out two other OLs and the RB was left for dead? Whichever game that was, that clip went viral to the point it made its way into the program as a joke from the outside. There were open questions about why the guy was still playing. Then they insisted upon themselves and played him against UF anyway. I was told the playing favorites shit with Stroh went so far as to them lying about him being hurt rather than admitting they just benched his ass. I don’t know if I believe that because it just sounds too unbelievable, but the older I get, the more I see things I couldn’t bring myself to believe actually come to fruition. I derived a great deal of humor out of watching @Red Five act dumbfounded repeatedly during the season regarding Neto going from being a starter in the spring and summer to being like 4th string and almost never playing while Connor Stroh was actively buttfucking the entire offense. Whatever transgression Neto created in Flood’s mind remains a mystery. Maybe the guy slept with someone in Flood’s family or something.
  15. The entire experience was flat out wild. Suh and that DL had been good all year, but they went fucking nuts in that game. I knew all year that the OL was the biggest weakness on the team, but that game made them look like high schoolers. Yet, there we were, the #3 team in the country and just needed a win to go to the Rose Bowl. I don’t remember which idiot WR had two steps on a defender only to drop what would have been a touchdown pass, but that added to the drama. Then McCoy holds the ball too long and almost blows the whole game-winning drive. Shawn Watson walks over when Nebraska thinks they won and is visibly talking shit to McCoy and Texas. Then they put one second back on the clock and Mack the Kicker Whisperer does his thing with Lawrence or whoever it was at the time. Last game I took my dad to before he was too frail to handle the stadium walks. Thought he was having a heart attack on the final offensive play before the FG. The whole time I just kept thinking, “but this is Nebraska. there’s no way they’re winning this game, right?” and sure enough, they didn’t. The bitching about one second will never get old for me. Fuck those gasbags and I hope they’re enjoying college football hell.
  16. Flood was telling people in August that he thought the best combination for the starting 5 was Goosby-Hutson-Robertson-Campbell-Baker. He was worried about losing Hutson at C for the line calls, but he thought that Umeozulu was going to get Manning killed and/or rack up a bunch of dumb penalties. Next thing I knew, there was word from camp that Connor Stroh had surpassed Neto and was looking good at LG. That is when all of our antennae went up on this board and the collective head was scratched. My theory is that he convinced himself, somehow, that Stroh was a better Guard than Robertson was a Center. Stroh was one of his guys and he really wanted that to work out. On the one hand, I'm encouraged that the guy knew what his best starting 5 was. On the other hand, that hope is snuffed out by the fact that he chose, instead, to play the worst Guard in UT history, and he did so long enough to ensure that Texas was going to be unlikely to make the playoffs.
  17. Texas was going to make a reasonable offer to have him stay on and compete. Maybe they did that and he decided he wanted out anyway, or maybe they're realizing that that money is better committed to someone else. If the Safety thing happens in the portal, likely they need extra dry powder.
  18. With the way I've seen Gerry alter his writing regarding Gregory, the Edge from Okie State, I'm starting to believe he may very well wind up Texas. That would mean the guy had a few more visits and thought "huh, not really the level of offer from anyone that I was expecting, but good offers nonetheless. Now, where would I really like to play? If that's the case and they land him, I am assuming that Vasek hits the road, as has been rumored since November. There is a chance that a Safety enters the portal with a no contact tag. No certainty, but a shot. Otherwise, you're not including Black or Roberson in your thinking at S and you probably should for at least one of them.
  19. I remember when you decided it was your duty to repeatedly say this same type of shit heading into Jake Majors’ senior season at C during that offseason. It was powerful stuff. The groundswell of support for your bravery echoed through the structural bones at Bellmont, Flood heard your demands and everything changed. Wait. No, no that’s not right. Oh yes, now it’s coming to me - nothing you bawled about mattered, Majors started all season and wound up joining an NFL organization. Keep tilting at those windmills though. They’ll fall down eventually. Make sure you leave no room for the possibility of player improvement. The Texas approach is to lock up the key roles now. Once that work is finished, we may see a flurry of additions that don’t cost anything more than scholarships. If some of those guys play their way into snaps, they’ll get some upside in future rev share. This is what they started doing in recruiting in the 2026 cycle and it sounds like they’re amplifying that in 2027. There is only so much time, employee headcount and money. No org can do everything. It’s great to plan, but also be flexible because who does or does not go into the portal becomes a real time issue. I know they fucked up the OL situation, but I’m interested in seeing if they can course correct with who is actually out there now. Everything else has gone according to plan A, or then plan B, or then plan C. OL? They flunked plan A and now we cross our fingers.
  20. Oh, shut the fuck up. No one said Texas needed 4 OL. All of the $9.95ers also knew that Cruz was gone, Neto was probably gone and most likely Kibble too. Nothing was projected without accounting for those risks. So what in the fuck are you doing with this post?
  21. And Wisner, no? Why? Is that something you think we’d all find funny?
  22. "Making fun of" is dbeasy putting an unexamined spin on the Aggie WR class versus the entirety of the Aggie 2025 transfer class, which was far more roundly mocked by us and the results of the season bear that out for anyone actually reviewing. But, yeah we were down on Concepcion as part of that. I was vocal about it, He'd had a poor season in 2024 at NCSU after being a freshman sensation in 2023. There were no known injuries. He just got worse. He averaged less than 10 ypc. So, it was weird seeing the aggies crow about it. No one had a strong opinion about Craver except that he was mostly a really fast guy with a lot to prove. Elko has been hit or miss in the portal, just like in recruiting. There is no evidence to point to him being some sort of elite evaluator. Last year, ATM landed: Concepcion - great pickup Craver - great pickup Amari Niblack - obvious waste of money even before they signed him Micah Hudson - known headcase and burgeoning bust Jonah Wilson - big bag of nothing Tyler Onyedim - highly regarded DT who did nothing against any team with a pulse Jordan Shaw - a spare DB they had to play TJ Searcy - show team hero who can play like a beast against shitty teams and then disappears against better opponents, all shit he did at UF as well Georgia DT named M'Pemba - did nothing at UGA and is doing nothing at ATM Jacob Zeno - lol Nate Boerkircher - solid TE pickup Auburn hyphen named TE - did nothing Dayon Hayes - non-entity Julian Humphrey - character issue bust at UGA, became a disappointment at ATM after they hyped him in the offseason. One cycle, 14 transfers in, 3 solid pickups, a couple of other guys that played, albeit either poorly, sparingly, or both, and a lot of bread. 3/14 is barely batting above the Mendoza line. I don't even think it is fair to lump sarvanaash in with a lot of these other dipshits who are persistently whining and negative. sarv at least appears to know football, have a sense of humor, and can intelligently defend his thinking. Some of these other guys are either idiots or just whiny drive-by shooters.
  23. The UGA OL coach is Stacy Searels, soooooooo. Also, might as well just go back to the Mackovic era and whoever the hell was coaching UT's OL then. Tim Nunez and Mac McWhorter can fuck right off with the other guys you named.
  24. "anybody at the skill positions" is a bridge too far. They had no interest in losing Townsend, Winston, Lacey, or Mosely. They made competitive offers to the freshmen WRs. No one is trying show M Terry the door.
