If there's one position in the offense that has shown itself to be the easiest spot to generate solid production out of, it's the slot receiver position. From RHM to LJH to Duvernay and Smith, the H is the easiest place for this scheme to find explosive plays.
I agree that Z is probably the easiest spot to "fill," but it might be the hardest spot to get solid production out of. Hell, Eagles already has 4 TDs and almost 300 receiving yards there, already this year, where Duvernay had 4 TDs and 500 receiving yards in ALL of 2018. Eagles has been a revelation at Z. We should leave him there.
To me, this is the only actually interesting response to this abortion of a discussion.
I have a visceral objection to moving Eagles away from Z. He's been a revelation there and is getting better every week. Why would you move him? Especially since his skill set doesn't appear to lend itself well to X.
I hope they redshirt Lewis and Washington and let those two duke it out for X next year. Loved Lewis's run after catch against Rice.
This was annoying earlier. But now it's in neg territory.
You're ranking Smith behind Whittington, who appeared in a total of about 10 snaps? Based on fucking what?
While Smith has scored several touchdowns where he fucking ran past people.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but if Morris gets canned, I would be strongly in favor of Herman hiring him as an offensive coach/offensive analyst.
I seem to remember some rumblings during Herman's UH days that they didn't care for each other, though, so maybe that would be a no-go.
It's actually pretty different. While TexAgs/$9.95ers never talked about the Volleyball incident, they are almost all responding to questions about the fight. We know the volleyball incident didn't occur, which helps make sense as to why they wouldn't address it. But if the fight actually occurred and it was "suggested" they deny it occurred or minimize it's occurrence. That's a much different pattern than the pool party incident. And it suggests the fight actually occurred--especially because such facts almost always come out. See, e.g., Quandre Diggs complaining about the BYU-related posters put up by Strong; Darius White and Demarco Cobbs getting into a fight after White badmouthed Texas to DGB; etc.
They're claiming that rumors of TAMU players getting into a fight after the game are coming from Herman and that, therefore, Herman and his staff are liars... But also, Herman and his staff are lazy (but apparently not too lazy to use moments immediately following a big victory over oSu to fabricate tales about TAMU's locker room and post them on numerous message boards). But apparently these calculating, conniving Texas coaches are not smart enough to post them on TAMU message boards, but only to post them on Texas message boards.
And recruits and their families are "realizing" this...
And with the way their fanbase is already rabidly opposed to Henson, they might be looking at their 3rd OL coach in three years next year. Although they will likely return 4 out of five starters from their current starting line, unless some of them test the grad transfer market.
