  1. Austin Mack is a JAG and everyone at Alabama knows it. They went all in to recruit Russell. They may choose to sign a veteran but if they do Keelon is gone.
  2. Alabama has Russel waiting behind Simpson. I doubt they bring in another QB to start unless they are fine losing him. LSU you have to think Kiffin brings his guy from Ole Miss.
  3. Baxter isn’t the same player anymore. He isn’t in the plans anymore for Texas.
  4. I do not think you understand what the situation is with Baxter.
  5. They started a true freshman tackle at guard before they thought about playing Cruz this year. That’s a bad sign.
  6. A standard that no other team had to meet. Indiana created a schedule of cupcakes. But just win baby! The lesson here for Texas or Notre Dame or anyone else paying attention is playing 12 cupcakes will still get you in the playoffs as long as you win. Our wins against Vandy, A&M and OU mean as much as James Madison beating Georgia State by one score. It’s only losses that are counted. Thats it. The schedule should be created to minimize losses. A loss hurts and a quality win does not mean anything.
  7. Two G5 teams lol. Simply sorting the loss column is hilarious. I hope no one watches this abortion of a playoff and the entire thing implodes.
  8. If we are wish casting, I would see if Dakorien Moore would talk to us now that Oregon promoted a literal retard as its offensive coordinator? He’s every bit as talented as Coleman and more of the type of receiver Sark likes.
  9. Would love to have him back on our staff somehow.
  10. Isn’t this more likely Kiffin or do you think this could really be us?
  11. You just cannot play safety of all positions and miss every spring semester playing football. He’s going to be a baseball player.
  12. That’s a very weird set of rhetorical questions. For the entire season up until the Vanderbilt game, we had a bottom 10% offensive line in college football. That’s completely unacceptable at Texas. We recruited and evaluated our own roster poorly. Flood is the main reason (along with Akina) we are sitting at home during the playoffs. You have to fire Flood.

Man if you think Wisner has elite traits you really have lowered your expectations at RB from watching Texas football these last few years.
  14. Baxter will eat up a lot of carries. At UTEP.
  15. Both IT and OTF mentioned he is more of a raw athlete and we should not count on him as a day one contributor.
  16. Akina was defacto fired almost as quickly as defensive coach great Larry MacDuff. That ill conceived experiment in nostalgia cost us the Florida game and 4-5 touchdowns against Georgia. One of the most colossally fucking stupid hires in Texas history.
  17. That’s too bad. Wisner against OU and A&M alone is worth the NIL.
  18. At RB Wisner and Simon should come back back and you clear out the rest of the room. Deandre Moore and Wingo played hardball for NiL last offseason and did not exactly live up to their cost. I’m sure the staff did not forget.
  19. The example isn’t exactly on point as others have pointed out but we live in a media driven narrative society and that is all that matters. The vibes need to be “oh shit if we leave Texas out there will be real world consequences”. I still think we are going to get left out if the bureaucrats are left to make the decision. They have no vested interest in the quality of the product just not to lose their job. It’s going to have to come from external forces like the Networks saying who gets in. I just do not see that happening. Our admin has to have the balls for the nuclear option and cancel Ohio St. And I just do not see CDC with that kind of courage. We will bitch and complain and do absolutely nothing about it.
  20. What we are going to get is every school will have to schedule to the lowest common denominator, Indiana in order to stay competitive. Football is going to be unwatchable in the month of September.
  21. Also trying to money whip Miami’s best offensive player might just be a tad bit expensive.
  22. This is the laziest argument and the easiest to counter. If Texas schedules Abilene Christian in week one instead of Ohio St, we are in the playoffs. It’s that simple. People are sorting the Win/Loss column and ranking teams accordingly. 9-3 is why we are not in the playoffs and who we lost to does not matter.
  23. The alternative is we all turn into Indiana and schedule three god awful automatic wins and no one watches football until October. Schools will do what the incentives say to do. And this playoff committee is about to lay out the incentives for scheduling in the future. Reward the schools like Texas or the BYU’s and Ole Miss’s of the world for scheduling and playing no one.
  24. Relevant because San Jose St’s offensive line was better than ours when we played them. And it still did not meet the Spartan’s standards. Imagine if Flood is allowed to keep his job.
  25. Dallas Wilson has had two significant foot injuries in the last 6 months. For what he would cost the injury risk is too much, IMO.
