Texas O-line talk
After watching Cristobal and Bostad, 2 legends as OL coaches, get their teams to the NC game, Bobby isnt going to get me off the pick on Flood train.

Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
Here is the evidence Goosby is probably a top 3 OT in the nation for 2027 draft. Texas has offered I believe 27 OTs in the portal Goosby is not kicking inside. So, either this the dumbest portal strategy ever devised, or Baker has told the staff he is open to moving to Guard.

BOOM MOTHER FUCKER - Will Muschamp's Triumphant Return
Runs a multiple 3-4 look. I would expect to 3-4 base, but you will see 4 man front (Colin on the Edge), and some 5 man looks with 2 overhangs (Colin and Spence?)

Texas Roster 2026
To be fair about this, there are a ton of NFL IOL that were Tackles in college. I guy like Brandon Baker is probably a guard in the NFL. Kicking a guy out to tackle is generally a lot harder, than kicking tackle inside. I do not know enough about Sianni to speak about him, but Goosby and Seaton are the only 2 that are obvious pure LTs

So you are saying he is a perfect fit? Never mind. I should have kept reading before being the 4th person to give such an obvious reply.

Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
it is just odd as OTF is saying Siani was recruited at OT (Gerry) and Bobby is saying Seaton is still in play. Those 2 statements seem to be at odds. I am not sure how you balance that out.

Hmm. I need to go back about 20-30 pages and refresh my memory. I do not think there were a lot of comments about Texas going ball to the wall a week or so ago.

That seems a bit overkill at this point. You would think they would be looking for a developmental center and a solid guard or 2.

Okpala and Spence are the question. I am not sure they will play inside. Both seem to be a good fit as OLB in Muschamps system, but I guess we will find out. (yes, OLB. fvck EDGE)- Texas Roster 2026

Based on quick PFF look and some brief film. It would my preference to see Goosby at RT and Seaton at LT, assuming Seaton comes. Goosby appears to be the better run blocker and more versatile player. Pretty cool of Goosby to turn down the draft and be willing to move positions.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
I remember seeing Lance Jackson give up the edge on what I believe was the first TD of the Florida game on 3rd and 1 from the 5 yard line. I was thinking why the hell is he in there in that situation. I get the need to keep players fresh, but there should be some situational thought to it.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
Depth matters but saying NFL back-ups are different because they were great college players is silly. That is like saying college back-ups are different because they were great high school players. Let's not pretend that the vast majority of football teams are impervious to injuries. 99.9% of teams will see their season blow up if a couple key injuries happen. The difference with smaller rosters is it will hurt Blue Bloods abilities to amass talent, not to field a 2 deep. It is going to be extremely difficult to stash a guy away for 2-3 years before he makes a contribution. The bottom 15-20 developmental guys that were not going to see the field are the one that are going to be most affected.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
Either pay has to come down or roster sizes cannot get larger. Seems unlikely star players will take a pay cut, so capping rosters seems inevitable. I do not think Texas will ever get to 53 man roster, but NFL teams carry 70 with practice players. Given nature of having younger players, College will likely have larger rosters. Is that number 75 or 85, who knows.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
Back-ups are back-ups. Whether they were once one of the best college players does not matter. They are generally below NFL starter level players. That is the same as college back-ups, they are generally below starter level. In either situation you are not likely to make the playoffs, if you have to rely on back-ups due to injuries.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
There are more than people think. Looks like Davion Weatherspoon just entered the portal. 1st all-Mac guy from Ohio U. I love going in for Seaton, but the biggest thing for me is making sure there are no holes on the roster. I would love 5 NFL players on the OL, but I dont want to see anything like Stroh/Brooks Florida game this year.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
I am glad I read it. I had no fucking idea that SUH had a great performance vs Texas. This is something we need to discuss more frequently. It is really important conversation to understand the complexities of the current portal environment. I did not know you were a Westlake wife.- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
I think people miss the value of having to play QB under duress. You go to these super teams like IMG and you get to make sandwiches in the pocket and throw to WRs with 10 yard cushions. You do not have to learn how to manipulate the pocket or throw with anticipation.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
I believe ONTexas has said that Baker would be willing to kick inside this year. I guess the idea would be to get a RT and kick Baker inside. I do not get going after LTs with NFL aspirations. Seems like a hard sell to get them to move to RT in their contract year, but we shall see. 83.9 Pass grade from PFF and a 52 run grade. He seems like straight up LT with little versatility based on the run grade, but its not like I watched Colorado play this year.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
He was a mess on special teams, but he put out some good tape on defense the last couple games. He looked good in coverage.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
i would not be upset with a solid, experienced Safety. It is a position like OL, where consistency is the key. Willing to give Muschamp the benefit though.- Ryan Wingo - An Explosion of Talent
I am not going to panic here. He was supposedly very helpful recruiting Coleman to Texas. His father called Coleman's father. That does not sound like a kid looking to move on, but anything can happen in this portal world.- Texas Roster 2026
Feet were pretty good in 2024, I think the draft supports that view. Kirby abused Flood's slide protections, more so than the players. That has been beaten to death and probably unproductive to drag that up again. Flood did cut those back as 2025 season progressed, so he is learning. In general, the way to beat a Saban/Kirby defense has generally been on 1 on 1s on the outside. You do that and they have to move parts around and it opens the run game up. Rarely do you see a run game break that defense (maybe OSU NC team is one of the only examples I can remember). They pack the middle of the field. Its a solid strategy. Not a lot of teams have the talent outside and QB to hit those sideline shots. Mobile QB helps. I think Sark had Georgia on the mind when he was pursuing Cam. - Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
