  1. I think this is a huge pick-up. Just getting an in-line TE that can block will be extremely valuable. I think it was Gerry that really liked him.
  2. I do not think I shared this one. THe take that you got annoyed with and told me I was over-reacting, spamming the board, and dead wrong on was I said the OL sucked vs OSU and the rushing yards were a result of light boxes
  3. I think that is Muschamp looking at the DT room and saying he needs some true NTs. Gerry mentioned this the other day. Muschamp is looking to add some twitchier guys on the EDGE. Simmons and Orogobo are the only ones that can play that Hybrid position over-hang position. That can drop and rush the passer. Jackson, Zina, Vasek, and Wesley are bit larger. This used to be easier when they called them OLB and DEs.
  4. I am hoping the fact that Sprague and Guarnera were roommates their Freshmen year will lead them to make a joint decision to Texas.
  5. Both of these are not true. I think you should take this up with Muschamp.
  6. The 5.75 yards per play vs Indiana was the 2nd most IU has given up all year. The 5.63 yards per play was the 2nd most Miami gave up all year. I did not think Sayin should be a Heisman finalist and was over-rated, but OSU skill players were probably the best in the nation. If the Texas offense was doing anything I think OSU throws more than 20 times vs Texas and throws downfield much more. OSU ran it 34 times and threw 20 times, you do not get much more conservative than that. Most of those 20 attempts were throws around the LOS. I am not a big believer in the idea that if you change one variable in a game, none of the other variables change. I could be wrong; it is just my opinion.
  7. Arch easily be a top 10 Qb, though lets be honest that is not a major achievement. He was a major portion of the OSU loss, though I do not think Texas wins that game if he plays better. OSU would have opened up the offense, but that is a different discussion. Florida was the game I watched and started feeling better about Arch. Though I also felt worst about Texas as the defense was horrible and the OL was next level bad.
  8. OU did not offer Parker out of high school, so I am not sure him leaving OU out mean much.
  9. Think he is Blue with more wiggle. He fits well with Sark and Texas. The 2-3 times a game the OL blocks well, he can make it a 50+ TD. He is a complete mismatch out of the backfield. Not a guy you want to rely on for 20 carries but put him in a rotation with a power back and you have something.
  10. Buy time and lose games, so they can draft a QB high and install a new coach. Dolphins are a complete rebuild. What does this thread look like if Arch is taken by the Dolphins in next year's draft?
  11. I do not get everyone's fascination this Helobious and his hand jobs. Most people know he gives a much better blow job.
  12. USC and Texas have something A&M does not. They have proven QBs and proven play callers. A&M has Coleman Wiggins, who best know for having everyone of his WRs he recruited at Bama portal out
  13. Codaxx replied to LTtxfan's topic in Football
I know late in the season he was leading the WR corps in yards per target. You’ll argue he was the productive with his target share
  14. Really only one guy arguing that Parker was forced out
  15. He saw Stroh play. Then he saw a true freshmen moved in front of him to play. I don’t like this one, but I get why he would transfer
  16. This shit is like a break-up. THe story is always different based on the person and the truth is generally in between
  17. I wouldn’t call 2024 offense elite. 2024 defense gave up less 16 pts in conference. That was elite. I think the defense was around 26 this year. This year’s offense was right with 2024 offense in conference with pts. They did that without the all the turnovers
  18. Not sure where this came from. I started talking about the OL during the OSU game. Questioned TExas skill position talent in the summer. I just do not agree that Livingstone is an example of the coaching staff making major evaluation mistakes. His drop rate is evidence of that.
  19. The attitude thing gets brought up a lot on boards. I always believe that these are legit red flags, but you never really know how a player will react on a new team. People talked about Conceptions (a&M wr) last year and he killed it. We have seen the other side of that with a couple Bama players. Coleman is a first round talent. Coaches probably feel they can get him locked in, especially before what should be his money year for the draft. There is always risk, but you would think the floor on Cam is still above the average SEC WR
  20. The talent is has the higher floor and ceiling. I think a lot of people are making a mistake on Cignetti. The guy is a black swan. One of the best coaches with your later model was the Purple Wizard. He never sniffed a NC. That is hard way to compete for titles, you have to shoot like 90-95% on your evaluations.
  21. Just my opinion, but I would not judge Baker at guard by his brief appearance. He was a tackle in HS and practiced in camp at Tackle. The results might be much different, if he gets a full offseason at guard to actually put him in a position to succeed.
  22. I think the comparison for Texas fans is Lockett vs Livingstone. I think both are outside WRs who will make their living based on their ability to win 50/50 balls. LIvingstone displayed inconsistent hands this year. I loved the Lockett TD. The thing that stood out to as the not so subtle push off to gain some space. THat is something that is rarely called and has been generally missing with Texas WRs
  23. It’s probably the highest among qualified starters for Texas, but it’s rarely called out
