  1. I think he had money to do it and chose family over football. He was a cog in the Georgia system. I do not think Georgia will unravel with Muschamp gone. People are over playing his time there. I am sure he learned some things in Georgia and i hope he brings them to Texas.
  2. PK was excellent. DFEI: 2022; #8 2023: #6 2024: #3 2025: #13 SEC scoring averages (SEC play): 2024: 15.56 pts (#1 in the conference) 2025: 17.5 pts (#3 in the conference). Texas happened to play the #1 (Vandy), #8 (Georgia), #9 (OSU), #11 (A&M), and #15 (ARk) offenses in OFEI this season. I am not sure how this plays out. I think Muschamp is an excellent DC. Just my opinion but I believe this is about style and not results. Sark wants to be more aggressive. He has talked about getting after the QB and playing more man consistently. I think games like UK irked him. Kentucky did not score much, but they were able to control the clock with ball control offense.
  3. Be prepared for more volatility. Even if Texas gives up the same pts per game. MUschamp is very aggressive. He will bury bad offense, but also get lit up occasionally by good offenses due to his aggression
  4. IT has been pushing that Texas is not a very strong team. Waddlington has been saying that for a while. He believes they do not do enough heavy lifting. Lot of that is based on the OL. I have no opinion or knowledge on the veracity of that
  5. You can call it a weakness or a double edge sword for PK, but he is pliable. He is very open to suggestions and works well with people. When the chemistry is right, it is extremely effective. There are times when that also bites him in the ass. Akna and the Florida game come to mind.
  6. true, but look at PK's results DFEI: 25:13 24: 3 23: 6 22: 8 21: 47 3 top 10 defenses in the last 4 years, so it is a high bar for Muschamp to be a success. Sark is replacing one of the best DCs in the country. This is not like firing Akina.
  7. hard to argue with PK's results. No idea if this works out, but it certainly comes with risk.
  8. I am not sure this will make Texas a better defense, but it will definitely change how they play defense. Much more aggressive defense. It may make Texas a more physical team and culture.
  9. I dont recall Arch having issues with Endries and/or Livingstone. First couple games Arch and Wingo just could not connect. It was either uncatchable or dropped.
  10. I did that earlier in the year and Endries had like a 70- 80% completion per target. Wingo was the one that Arch could not throw to. Wingo finished pretty ugly on the year. 50 catches, 91 targets, and 770 yards (8.5 per target)
  11. He had 8.5 sacks in conference and 9.5 TFLs Colin had 9.5 sacks in conference and 12 TFLs and that is s a superior conference schedule.
  12. That really not the argument against Flood. OL is tough to evaluate coming out of HS. Misses can happen. The real issue is Flood had in depth knowledge of the OL group coming into the 2025 season and he did not go into the portal to shore up the holes. I would add his personnel decisions were inexplicable

I am not as worried about TE. I think there is serious talent in that room receiving wise. What they lack in the room is an in-line TE. That isnt Endries.
  14. Tua is signed for 56.4mm for next year. I have a feeling he may need a bull horn to give Miami management a piece of his mind. I would be surprised if they did not cut him, assuming Tua does not take a pay cut. You cannot lock up that kind of money and get Tua production. Miami OL is bad, but Tua is massively overpaid. Tua Tagovailoa | NFL Contracts & Salaries | Spotrac.com
  15. Just looks like the Tua experiment is over. Miami is not close to making the playoffs. They are exploring their options. Not unusual for bad teams to to give hteir back-up a shot late in the year.
  16. This is Miami throwing a hail mary. They are a disaster and need to figure out if they need to go all in on a QB. They are giving Ewers a huge opportunity going against the worst defense in the NFL.

Production per $$ will slowly get adopted and it is going to hurt recruits. I am already to the point that I want the staff to go after 1 high end RB a year (stop with the 2 sh!t) and 2 WRs. Save the spots and money for the portal. Big game hunt at the skill positions in recruiting and backfill in the portal. Over recruit at positions of scarcity in the portal, OL and DL. Texas should get a legit GM, someone with NFL experience. NIL is basically your salary cap and you need to look at return on capital at the macro and micro levels.
  18. he has a really strange season. Looked like an All-American vs OSu and by mid-season he looked pretty bad. Rebounded nicely vs A&M. I think the money angle makes sense. They have 2 young 5 stars that are probably eating up "cap" space at the position. I am sure Texas would have liked to retain him, but this sport is now a business.
  19. Will be fun to see Barnes get a lot of playing time vs Michigan.
  20. Had his moments both ways this season. Room lacks numbers and most of what is left does not shave yet. I would have preferred to have him on the team, but we shall see how it works out. Grabbing at least 1 LB in the portal seems like a lock now.
  21. OnTexas saying it is a Texas decision. Not sure how it played out could be as simple as LeFau thought he was worth X and Texas thinks he worth X*.6
  22. Codaxx replied to LTtxfan's topic in Football
LeFau enters the portal. Sounds like a money situation, but I am sure more will come out.
  23. The senior bowl game is not very important. THe senior bowl practice are very important. More scouting goes on there than the game
  24. I dont think Sark is on the hot seat, but in this NIL world things change fast. I am not sure 9-3 next gets him fired, but you can be sure he would be on the hot seat. The expectation is pretty much get to the playoffs every year. I am not saying it is reasonable, I am just saying that is the world we leave in now.
  25. Codaxx replied to LTtxfan's topic in Football
no argument, but every offseason we talk about the talent and potential. We usually overshoot on our predictions.
