  1. Is this guy the CNBC version Scott Jennings? What's a douche. Can't answer a single question directly, doesn't give examples of the cities he thinks are "working together with local LEOs" and can't even bring himself to say LEOs shouldn't hide their faces or badges. Body cameras only help with after the fact court cases. If most of the people with complaints don't ever get to see a courtroom, they will not have an opportunity to request that video and use it. They often aren't being seen as humans with constitutional rights, and this administration has argued that those rights don't apply to non-citizens. Video footage also doesn't help people who are shot dead by ICE, or killed in captivity. It's part of the demands, but a very weak part of it, as you know most of these dorks will turn it off most of the time.
  2. They are also not giving them access to a phone call, or a lawyer, they are skipping due process and holding them well beyond 72 hours. I doubt any of them could actually recite the Miranda rights from memory. Some people are being sent to ICE detention centers in other states, and when a judge orders them to be released, they are left hundreds or thousands of miles from home with no recourse for their predicament. It's ridiculous, it's malicious and it's insidious!
  3. This. They are charging protestors with Federal crimes: "Bondi said the 16 individuals in question have been charged with violating 18 U.S.C. § 111, which punishes any individual who "forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates or interferes" with officials engaged in carrying out their official duties." Would all these be tossed for procedural reasons once a judge gets to it?
  4. Just out of curiosity, if ICE or Border Patrol is arresting someone and taking them into custody, why don't they ever read someone their Miranda rights? I have seen a lot of videos of people being abducted/kidnapped/arrested, but none were stopped and read their rights.
  5. I'm voting for Hunt. There are so many racists on the right that I think they will simply not vote if it's between a Dem and a black guy.
  6. Just a reminder, the vast majority of the people they are rounding up have no criminal record, and a very small amount of them are convicted of violent crimes.
  7. Twolves and Conley are working on a deal. Good for them, it's always cool to get veteran players back for a late career push for a ring.
  8. I'm going to Microcenter to pickup the parts to build a new gaming PC this weekend. Haven't done this in about 5 years, so it should be a decent upgrade for me. This bundle seems like a great deal given how stupid ram prices have gotten. AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D, ASUS X870-P Prime, Crucial Pro 32GB DDR5-6000 for $700 I'm also grabbing a AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, a Hyper 620S CPU Air Cooler and a Leadex III 1000 Watt Power Supply. Will re-use my current case, m2 drives and peripherals. I'll try and see what I can sell my old stuff for, not really sure what they are worth on the market, but it's a good system with a 3080TI. 9. Yes that's his account, and apparently it was so legitimate that his name and other records were part of an FBI investigation into Epsteins death. It also confirmed that the guy worked there at the time, which makes that story even more plausible. Even more unsettling is that Bill Barr, the Attorney General whose department oversaw the incarceration and legal case against Jeffery at the time appears in the Epstein files as well, which adds more fuel to the conspiracy. Maybe Trump loved his best friend so much that he helped him take his death, escape prosecution and flee to Israel to be shielded by the Mossad...
  10. That is incredible given where they were to start the offseason. A very underrated part of being a GM is saving some cash like this, so your owner is more likely to splurge on a year you push to win a ring.
  11. Does that mean we can't go after Cam Thomas? He should have a lot of suitors.
  12. Mike Conley incoming... 🔥🔥🔥
  13. That's not fair to him, KD wasn't on the team last year and he's been worth a few wins so far. If Jalen Green was running the show, we would be selling everything we could at the deadline to try again next year. I agree FVV should be on the table to trade. Pretty much everyone but KD, Alpi and Amen should be available for the right return. This team really needs some guards right now, and could use a better C to take over the hole Adams left. It's possible to fill those needs, but might not be worth mortgaging the future of a team with a few young all-stars.
  14. I literally haven't seen Russilo since he moved. Not a single short or random guest appearance. No clue where he is found now. A bunch of podcasts are now on Netflix, including Bill Simmons, Lowe and some others I recognized but don't follow. I thought that was an odd venture for Netflix, and I don't know anyone that listens to pods on that platform.
