USMNT 2023
Should get plenty of minutes and that's really all that matters at this point. Wish it was in a top 3 league but Monaco are known for developing and ditching so maybe this will be a short stay.

Jordan hasn't sprayed it that wildly since... Well, since he was ranked 95th or whatever. Not a good start.

2023 Annual Thread of 3 Putting
Putting has been a shit show of inconsistency lately so I went to try a new putter with less toe hang, thinking that would help me stabilize the face a bit but still let me swing on an arc. Hit 3 putts with my putter, 3 putts with the new putter, and repeated about 5 times. In the most unsurprising news of the day, turns out the putter isn't the issue.

Definitely rooting for her. My dad is 14 months post his stroke. Very different kind of person - was always quiet, a LOT older than Jennie, didn't get paid to talk. He'll get on a rhythm and it's like he's 100% back to normal and then all of a sudden, he just takes a left turn and gets off course. Hopefully, Jennie has made it further along - she's got a lot more going in her favor but don't be surprised if she has some struggles. Regardless of what happens, I'd call this pretty fucking courageous of her just 8 months after.

Lewis challenges his own team in a similar manner as well. I don't see a huge difference between the two comments and clearly you do. I'm also not sure how objectivity comes into play on people's interpretations of someone's opinion. No one's going to convince you on anything F1 related so I'm done after this.

Formula 1 2023
You're not seeing the forest through the trees. Lewis wants, and has always wanted, a tighter field. That's it. The fact he phrased it one way then vs now isn't the point. The big picture idea is the same.

USMNT 2023
He's a fairly unanimous MOTM from the articles I've read. And Musah will be back next game (serving red card suspension from last game last year). Definitely didn't have "become AC Milan fanboi" on my New Years bingo card this year but here we are.

As long as it doesn't result in homogenous cars across the board, I'm going to agree with anyone advocating for tighter competition, regardless of their garage or if their name is Max.

Formula 1 2023
I might be putting words in other people's mouths but no one is saying they don't see the difference. The rest of us, I assume, are just contending it's not that big of a difference for all this kerfuffle. Clearly you don't agree. That's cool, too.

Formula 1 2023
Sorry man, I still don't see the big difference that's worth all these words. He wants tight(er) competition in both scenarios and that's ultimately the main takeaway. And I think that's something we all want.
-
Formula 1 2023
It's not saying the same thing but the difference, in my opinion, is miniscule.

You can not like Lewis, he's clearly polarizing, but it still feels kinda nit picky to be annoyed by this particular quote given his history. Pick on his clothes, no one is going to stop you there.

2023 Ryder Cup - Marco Simone Golf & CC, Roma, Italy
Let's just put this notion to bed that the US isn't stacked, at least relative to the Euro team. Look at whatever rankings you want - OWGR, FedEx, SG: Total, or my personal fav the datagolf rankings. Look how far you have to go down the list to get to the first 12 Americans vs 12 Euros. As an example... In datagolf, the #12 ranked American is #23 Cameron Young. For Europe, JRose is #7 and ranked #21. #12 on the Euro team is ranked #58 Alex Noren, who is behind Adrian Meronk. The Euro's bottom 4 are trash and their 4-7 are ranked well below 4-7 on the US side. I would bet you can run this exercise with whatever golf ranking you'd like and arrive at similar results. Side debate - Koepka is not in the top 12 and before we make the argument (he's all the way down at #39), Cam Smith is #7 so it's not all because of LIV though certainly that's part of it. Byrson is ranked higher (considerably higher, at that at #28). Ya ya ya, rankings are flawed blah blah blah. Not sure how else you want to make the case though. When push comes to shove, can the Euro's win? Of fucking course they can, but it would be a major disappointment if they did.

2023 Ryder Cup - Marco Simone Golf & CC, Roma, Italy
What are you talking about? Euros are top heavy (5 deep maybe - Rory, Rahm, hovland, Fitz, Hatton off the top of my head... Maybe Fleetwood putter depending), but after that the fall off is tremendous compared to the US side. Even with Fitz, Hatton, and Fleetwood, there isn't anyone in the top 10 of the US that I don't think wouldn't win that match. This is our best shot at winning over there in a very long time. Not winning would be a monumental disappointment regardless of it being on European soil. We 100% don't need koepka who has played a whole 4 real tournaments and is coming off a stretch of golf so bad he ran away and took a payday. There is plenty of talent on this US team.

You think we can't "compete" without the cancer of Koepka? Koepka's defection and general dickheadedness aside, the US team is stacked top to bottom with or without him. Keep the potential cultural issue on the sidelines.
