Dallas Cowboys 2024 Season Thread -- Jerrah the Asshat Rides Again
Damone Clark was in the hole unblocked on 3rd and inches and let the back basically just slide off him for a yard and half. Probably why he lost all of his playing time and won't be on the roster next year.

I'll say it..... thank god we have Trey Lance on our roster instead of Bucky Irving. I mean, we couldn't use that guy at all.

JFC. How do you lose as quickly as Guyton did there? He hit no one.

Okay, that's the definition of gadget, but not really the point. So, if we were to embrace this type of role, where he could play both WR and RB, could you probably cut Deuce Vaughn and call up another WR? 2 real RBs, Luebke, and then Turpin? Just thinking about how to maybe align the roster next year.

Why? Like as in a gadget play or with some sort of consistency or as a backup?

It's about timing and giving the right beats for the OL to make blind shotgun snaps...... He was fucking around in practice and the coaches and line liked it so they kept it.

Jerrah will make sure he's on the roster just because of his ego.... Can't take such an embarrassment but yea, the trade went about as badly as it could or as most of us expected. Did we put down the shades???? Let's go out and make Jerrah proud..... play hard, make him lots of money and lose in bombastic fashion.

Caitlin Clark …. Seriously
Tiger certainly wasn't beloved by his peers, anything but. Not sure if you've read any books about him or from his peers, but Tiger was a weird guy with limited social skills and a huge ego (deserved). I don't believe Clark is hated by her peers either. Maybe from a few dummies out there but I think most of her WNBA peers probably like her or at least respect her, while some of them understand they're jealous of her. She's simply the next step in the evolution of the game, hopefully the league won't fuck up their golden goose.

Not bad....

Caitlin Clark …. Seriously
I think that may miss the racial component though..... Gretzky was a white Canadian dominating a white Canadian sport. Maybe Simone Biles? There were other black gymnasts before her but she exploded, but again, mostly because she won...... and won and won again.

Caitlin Clark …. Seriously
You're the one who compared her to an individual sport guy initially.....

Caitlin Clark …. Seriously
No..... but he still would have been massive, because he's done something Caitlin never has.... won. He won at the amateur level and directly as a young pro. His resume' speaks for itself and yes, he changed the game with his athleticism turning your grandfather's game into something hipper, cooler, and better thought of. His cultural roots make him an amazing American fairy tale in some senses and nightmare in others, but he still would have been huge. Maybe 95% of the attention he got, which was utter craziness. Maybe Catilin is more like Gerry Cooney in the 80's..... the great white hope. Back in those days, you could just say it. A sport dominated by black athletes for decades and people turned Cooney, who was an awkward, mildly talented, Long Islander into some cartoon character, like he alone was protecting white, blue collar America. It was more fleeting especially after he got crushed by Larry Holmes, but the same thing would apply if there was an American hooper like Caitlin. All the whiteys praying for another Larry Bird. I'm looking for a pajaro Larry!!!! That would be cool. Clark deserves all her flowers. It's just not that she's white, there have been other white lady hoopers, it's that her game is fresh (ironic that now it's getting blowback) in the women's game like Steph's was 15 years ago AND she's white. She also handles herself with the grace and intelligence of someone who is older and wiser. That's refreshing. People need to cut her some slack and enjoy her game, it's a good one.

Dallas Cowboys 2024 Season Thread -- Jerrah the Asshat Rides Again
Injuries, schedule and experience. Zack is sort of beaten down and his ankle was obviously killing him. Got some young bucks who are some nasty guys. Also, let's understand, the schedule was absolutely front-loaded. It was always going to work out if we could survive and be able to be 5-5 or 4-6 and start a run, but then injuries happened. Giants, Carolina, Bengals who have no defense, Commanders (not bad but young). I think it's great though we're learning guys like Bass and Brock Hoffman can play and are getting valuable reps. Asim Richards somewhat too along with Beebe and Guyton. The OL, which was pretty lousy to begin the season, with experience and reps, are going to end up being a glimmer of hope. Possibly a above-average unit to start next year, but schedule has something to do with it. Also, Rico Dowdle is proving he's a dude. Maybe not a #1 but not a bad 1b or part of a committee. He's run his ass off after Fat Thumb stopped fucking around with Zeke. There is absolutely no reason to reach for a RB, specifically in the first round. Deep draft for RBs this year. Definitely should take a RB, but day 2 or early day 3 is fine.

LOL..... There's Jerrah's crew. Unforced error/fumble and blown coverage leads to taking points off the board for the Cowboys and giving the Panthers a TD gift. Ha, ha, ha...... This team.

TD CeeDee..... nice drive guys. But we need to lose this game.....

Dallas Cowboys 2024 Season Thread -- Jerrah the Asshat Rides Again
CeeDee is still playing hard with a very painful injury. Gotta give him his due. He was very rusty to start the season but he's going to have another top 5ish WR season, most of it with Rush.

Feels like Tolbert has hit a wall or plateau. Just hasn't been making many plays lately. I get it, it's Cooper, but even when he gets his chances. That was a first down. Has to be a catch.

Dallas Cowboys 2024 Season Thread -- Jerrah the Asshat Rides Again
The rush was right in his face too, so he saw it..... he just panicked. It's probably time to sit Cooper and see how bad Trey is. Carolina's offense is so painful with these 4 yard rushes and then dinking and dunking down the field. Against a defense this bad, it can work, but it's a painful watch. Way to go, Marist! After doing nothing but making tackles 7 yards down the field for a dozen games, he's flashed the last couple of games. Looks like the game may be slowing down for him a little.... just needs to get stronger in the offseason.

Every week I get up and watch and hope against hope this week will be the debacle which makes Jerrah choke on his tongue and die. Every week, I am profoundly disappointed...... but I hope. Because hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and we can't every lose it. Let's do this..... maybe it'll be the week Jerrah chokes on his tongue.

2025 DT Cole Brevard
Pretty much. Unless he takes a huge jump, he's really just a rotational run stuffer with little to no pass rushing skill. Block eater. Big guy so maybe some different coaching (Purdue was the worst team in the P4) and another year in the weight room and he can give us 30 good snaps a game, but he's not a game changer or anything. Like to have his teammate, the TE.
-
2025 Transfer LB Brad Spence
A little context..... Finished the season strong..... and 2 years eligibility left. Addressing a huge hole. And was good against us..... Now, let's get some big boys to put in front of him and keep him clean.

Atrocious Coaching
My Georgia friends (not tonight) always say..... If you have a QB who can run or at least extend plays well, it will give Georgia (and most defenses) fits..... But if they don't have to stay honest on the QB, then they typically can make you one-dimensional. While I don't necessarily agree with your summation, I do agree that it makes this version of Texas' offense with QE have very little margin for error..... Needed to play a clean game and played anything but. QB owns some of it..... but not the lion's share. I think the HC and OC has to wear a lot of this.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Then maybe we shouldn't have committed so many drive killing penalties? I mean..... does the QB have to do everyfuckingthing? Why didn't the motherfucker stop the very detectable QB draw as well. Fucker!!!
