Windows are iced up in 78738 with some sleet sticking to roofs and grass, but the driveway is clear. Need to go check on a friend’s boat, but I don’t think anybody should be dying out there.
How it tastes or how to find? Spec’s had a bunch this year but I grabbed one in trade after trying it in god forsaken college station.
I haven’t tried it with EHT Straight Rye but the proof point seems perfect for the liquid and it’s damn good.
I like these, but what I really want is their moon phase or perpetual calendar.

None of those are wheated bourbons, tho. I routinely end up drinking TX at events where it somehow always gets placed as the only bourbon and I’m not saying I’ll pick it over 1910 or Blanton’s, but it’s not a crime against humanity.
Haha, I went to brunch, had a couple bloody Marias and pulled this back up (before seeing your spoiler) and it popped in my head in about 10 seconds. Apparently tequila is better than coffee for my creativity.

What the hell, I’m on line 4 and know that first two letters for certain and likely the third and can’t even come up with an actual word for my guess. Might have to finish coffee and shower before I continue.
Hancock’s is my favorite…88.9 proofer? Only bourbons I’ve had under 90 that I liked better were Stitzel-Weller Rebel Yell and a couple 86 proof pre-fire Heaven Hill bottlings.
Cracked a ‘21 late Dec drop Small Batch from Total Wine and it got rocked by the ‘19 Single Barrel I have open. Small Batch is still a fantastic easy drinker tho.
I worked retail through high school at a very busy paint store and it was a beating physically because we had to unload all the shipping containers. The service side was a grind sometimes as well with people who can’t make up their mind, hate the color after they pick it, etc.
Generally I’m fine with this guy’s feelings journal on everything other than the hard work side. There’s no way that theater job is too physically demanding for most folks to handle. But damn, if that theater doesn’t want to pay for great employees then they won’t get great employees. Nothing has changed about that simple fact in the 26 years since my first retail job. It was hard to find good people in the 90s and it’s hard now if you can’t understand the basic formula.
