I’m about 90% committed on the idea of unloading my GT350 for the CT5 V Blackwing. It’s probably going to be impossible to get a test drive, but I’ve driven enough GM product to know what I’m getting with this thing. Not sure what else could really scratch the manual itch like this monster while still being daily drivable. It will have the added benefit of being less of a pain in the ass to get kids in and out of.
I dove deep and almost got there with the cushion case version. But man, I looked at some actual wrist shots and holy balls it’s yuge. Also, the full polish bezel is a bit much. I’ve never had a black watch, but the Black Friday DLC one might actually be better. But when do you wear that?
I’m glad you like yours and it’s making me think about one again
$300: Kentucky Owl Batch 10
$200: die in a fire
$150: Doc Swinson’s 15
$90: Remus Repeal
$50: 1792 Full Proof Pick
$37.99: Dickel BiB
$21.99 Weller Special Reserve
If you called or asked around a bit the Rebecca Creek 12 year small batch or cask strength MGP is maybe doable. Same with Elijah Craig Barrel Proof
What about Lancaster and Fontana, tho? Total armpits IMO.
Great to have a coach back in place who knows how to properly rock a visor. That’s what’s really important.
I’m halfway through one 2 oz pour of a 12 year 4 Roses OESO and don’t know whether to laugh or cry about that being the high point of this season. But yeah, that was the high point.
I like the 17 BiB a ton, finished one and on my second along with having 3 backups. Cornerstone only exists to prove that Rare Breed Rye doesn’t have to be so angry. I need to find one of the OG 17 year low proofers so I can say for sure.
My tall cull Buck just won’t come back. I’ve been watching this 9 all morning but it looks like -1 yr version of the one my wife shot so I have to pass. Also some does and spikes, enough to keep things interesting at least and beats the hell out of shopping.
Man, what a letdown. But, you know, pm me if your luck changes.
No S-W here tonight, but I’m going in on some Turkey. The middle one is an old label Rickhouse G Russell’s pick that’s crazy fruity like a Buffalo Trace product. The Kentucky Spirit is a 10 year pick that Spec’s had on the shelf last year for months despite it being really damn good.
Truth, it’s just OK. I have an Act 6 from a few years back and it’s still 2/3 full. I’move traded a few away and would do it again at the values they bring now.
I love Weatherby, but please hold up on any re-bluing. That looks to be in great shape and their blueing is incredibly hard to improve on. Also chill on the scope, but maybe look at getting that stock refinished.
