This is the dumbest opinion on this thread. Reading requires you to form the images in your head to imagine the visuals of the story being told to you. Being read a story as a child and imagining it in your own head was probably the very first creative thing you ever did (and last for some of you). It’s not passive at all, it requires thought. There are decades and decades of studies showing that reading improves your capacity for learning in ways that screen time definitely does not.
I was told to throw out all the stats and rankings for this game. In fact, I think I’ve been told that for about 30 years straight. But by all means, prove your point with stats and rankings.
One bad quarter for a guy that’s been off for a month is a really shitty reason to bench a quarterback. Nobody is saying he looked good, but the only way to knock the rust off is to work through that shit. And he did. He cleaned it up and we kicked the shit out of our hated rival. Ice Cube wrote a song about days like yesterday.
About 10 years and 137 amber alerts ago. And because you touch yourself.
But seriously dude it’s not that difficult, just type it into Google and it will lead the way. I don’t know that shit off the top of my head.
I’m not really following your line of reasoning here. They probably will get replaced by automation eventually. But it will have nothing to do with the likability of their union president or the public perception of their demands in this strike. Neither of those two things matter in the least here. Not one little bit.
No union member cares if their president is likable or not. They just want the guy in there that can get them the best deal… period. They’re going to get better than what’s on the table. They won’t get what they’re asking for, but it will be better than what’s on the table now. And nobody in that union cares what the public perception is of that. The public isn’t voting on this.
I’d be curious to know about what percentage of the people who are outraged by this issue gave one single fuck about women’s sports before. Unless you’re a parent of a female athlete you likely didn’t pay attention or care one bit about women’s sports before. But now all of a sudden you’re fucking outraged and have to fix this great injustice. It’s just another case of people needing to find something to be angry about. Who fucking cares?
Some school could decide to put LeBron James on their women’s basketball team and I don’t think I would care about it other than some simple amusement.
Oh I understand it’s a reality. That doesn’t mean people shouldn’t be fighting to change it. Teachers should absolutely be paid a lot more. Sounds like you should’ve been paid a lot more as well. Just because it happens traditionally in some fields doesn’t make it right.
Your jobs sound like they all sucked. Just because you put up with it stuck with that kind of bullshit doesn’t make it right. It shouldn’t take overtime to raise a family comfortably.
And nobody is asking for a 75% wage increase NOW. The increase is spread over the life of the contract to be at 75% years from now. It’s a significant wage increase for sure, but not the hyperbole that some of you are spewing.
The economy might hit a bump over this if it lasts a while but it’s not crashing. Anyone in purchasing has seen this coming for a long time and has been stockpiling their most important supplies. This has happened before and life went on.
