Oh my God Hideki just clipped a bunker shot. Has to get up and down now to avoid a playoff. Kind of an asshole move with the Super Bowl about to kickoff, honestly.
He made the cut pretty easily but started Friday outside of it. Went 7 under today. Not going to win but made a nice charge today and might pick up a ho-hum top 5.
"It's unbelievable how aware this guy is of where his club face is at all times" Insightful commentary. I would hope all of these guys are aware of where their fucking club face is.
You need to include the 6 seed wins over the 3 seed as well to gauge the typical strength of the 3 seed. From this: https://mcubed.net/ncaab/seeds.shtml The 8/9 has 28 wins over the 1 seed and two wins over the 16 seed. The 1 seed wins vs. the 8 seed 79% of the time and over the 9 seed 91% of the time. The 6/11 has 63 wins over the 3 seed. The 3 seed wins those matchups 57% and 68% of the time, respectively. The 6/11 has another 21 wins over the 14 seed to just 2 losses. In summation, the 6/11 gets to the sweet sixteen about three times as often as the 8/9 (maybe not exactly 30 trips to 84 since there can be Final Four matchups later on as well). Basically - if you can beat the 6 it is much more preferable to be the 11 in the 6/11 game. And overall you're still less likely to make the ro32 but more likely to make the SS as an 11 vs. an 8/9.
Who writes this dumb shit? One of the greatest dunkers ever? He won the dunk contest three times because the dunk contest is a fucking joke. In that first clip he gets the ball hung on the rim then falls down on the landing. He's a great exhibition dunker. I'll give him that.
I already wasn't a fan but now I really hope he wastes away on Milwaukee for the rest of his career. What a tone-deaf asshole. And the NBA needs to enforce players and coaches taking stakes in any of this stuff just as strictly as if they were betting on games through actual sports books. The gambling stuff in general is so fucking out of hand. If it isn't a canary in a coal mine of being in a dystopian, corporate hellscape then I don't know what is.
True. And I think the extra game tends to be beneficial if you win it. Teams go on tears all the time from the first-four - you get a little warmup/tourney taste.
10 is basically as low as you can be as a P5 team without potentially playing in a first-four game. I think Texas would be in as a 10 right now. 10-8 in conference could potentially get Texas to the 8 line depending on what the wins and losses are.
No - they aren't. They are top 20 in NET and top 25 in Kenpom. You don't really get punished for losing to elite teams. They'd have to start losing to the bottom half B12 teams to find themselves towards the bubble.
He's not an effective playmaker at this point, either. The turnover to Cason Wallace is shit that can lose you games. He's young and extremely talented. As of now his ceiling seems to be like a 6th man combo guard that can get you an efficient ~15 a night. I have a hard time ever seeing him as a starting PG or SG on a team worth a shit. It's possible he could make a bigger leap but it won't be this season.
