  1. Finally moved up into last four byes, in Lunardi's projections :-) Now, today evening, I would ... a win ...
  2. Honor Fa'lave-Johnson (#1 safety) visiting end of March. Gerry had him on his list, as a top target. This was from Horns 247 / Hank South, ~ Feb 2nd.
  3. We play Ole Miss next year.
  4. Have high hopes for Bishop.

  6. FROM ROACH, RE: MONTRE JACKSON ("Huh? Who's that?" "The recruit in the POST ABOVE!!!")
  7. FYI, we received a CB prediction for him recently.

  9. All of these clips are from the AU/Vandy game ... crazy. Difficult not to get psyched. (Also, Coleman had 10 catches for 143 yards in that game - so not every catch was contested.) Coleman goes nuts
  10. Visiting first week of June. Leading his recruitment "right now." Longhorns DB target Montre Jackson locks in official visit to Texas Hank South (Horns 247) Longhorns DB target Montre Jackson locks in official visit to Texas Longhorns DB target Montre Jackson locks in official visit to TexasOne of Texas football's top targets on defense has locked in an official visit to see the Longhorns this summer.Hank South (Horns 247) Garland (Texas) Lakeview Centennial cornerback Montre Jackson, a four-star prospect in the 2027 class, tells Horns247 he'll officially visit Texas June 5-7. Jackson quickly lined up a visit to the Forty Acres for Junior Day earlier this month after kicking off the New Year with a UT offer. "It was pretty good. Got a good conversation with Coach Sark," he told Horns247. "Finally got to talk to Coach (Will) Muschamp. Just him telling me I'm a priority and I mean a lot to the program and what I can bring to the program." And despite the offer coming late, Texas is surging ahead in Jackson's recruitment. "It's probably definitely standing for my number one right now," he said." Definitely leading my recruitment right now." Jackson noted that Oklahoma and Tennessee are on the Longhorns' heels. "Just the environment," Jackson said of why the Longhorns hold the top spot. "The times I've been here, everybody just treats me like I'm family." Jackson says he'll take official visits before he makes any decisions. Aside from the three programs mentioned, the in-state DB wants to also officially visit Texas A&M, SMU, and Duke. At 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, Jackson is ranked the No. 19 cornerback and the No. 168 overall player in the country, per 247Sports.
  11. LAWRENCE SEYMORE And so I ask ...
  12. I was curious about the receiving performance of our transfer RB signees, so FYI on a few data points. Last year, Smothers and Brown were third on their respective teams, as far as catches. And just a few catches removed from second place. Brown had 34 catches for 239 yards (7.03/catch). Smothers had 37, for 189 (5.11/catch). So whether it was as receivers, or just to get the ball in their hands, they caught significant proportions of catches w/ their previous teams. Their per catch averages seemed underwhelming, so I took a look at our own backs over the last few year. In '25, Wisner had 22/146, @ 6.6 In '24, Wisner had 44/311 @ 7.1, and Blue had 42/368 @ 8.8 In '23, Baxter had 24/156 @ 6.5, Brooks had 25/286 @ 11.4 Brown and Smothers' averages are at least in the same ballpark as those of Wisner and Baxter. There are many other factors that would need to be considered to assess their overall performance - Brown had Jordan Tyson w/ him, but overall, they should have better skill talent around them in our offense - but net, I'm optimistic about how they may do as secondary receiving options in '26.
  13. Miami board seems to think he was set to start next year, and is bummed out he's leaving.
  14. Stop monkeying agound, Banks - get this guy, por favor. Ohio State and UGA are tough comp - thought he was an Ohio State lean - but if he's visiting on his own dime ...
  15. One obvious omission, but we're also the only team with two guys on the list.
  16. A few notes from Hoosier 247 - on Lynch, and the portal entry of Lawrence (projected to be a backup OL). I remember reading some divergent opinions - don't remember where - on Lynch (about how good he was, or wasn't). Seems like they're happy w/ him as a starter. This guy entered the portal. On Evan Lawrence (above)
