Key portion from a Gator 247 note on Baugh. FULL NOTE Sources: Update on Florida star RB Jadan Baugh and RB portal pursuit Tyler Harden (Swamp 247) Sources: Update on Florida star RB Jadan Baugh and RB portal pursuit Sources: Update on Florida star RB Jadan Baugh and RB portal pursuit Tyler Harden (Swamp 247) For the 2025-26 offseason, one of Florida’s most prominent priorities has been retaining star running back Jadan Baugh. Baugh finished the 2025 season with 1,170 rushing yards on 220 carries and eight touchdowns. He is the 10th running back in program history to finish with over 1,000 rushing yards in a single season. That being said, retaining Baugh is essential for the Gators for 2026 season. However, a source tells Swamp247 that a decision on Baugh’s end on whether he’d return to Florida for 2026 or venture elsewhere in the Transfer Portal has not yet been made. Because of that, a source tells Swamp247 that Florida is beginning to look around the portal at running backs to add. Florida is showing interest in two transfer running backs for a source tells Swamp247. Those running backs are USC redshirt freshman transfer running back Bryan Jackson and Michigan State sophomore transfer running back Makhi Frazier. Bryan Jackson Jackson is a 6-foot, 230-pound running back from McKinney, Texas. He is ranked as the No. 20 running back and the No. 219 overall prospect in the 247sports Transfer Rankings. For the 2025 season, Jackson ran for 123 yards on 36 carries and four touchdowns He averaged 3.4 yards per carry His season was highlighted by a 35-yard performance on five carries and a touchdown in a 31-13 win over Michigan. For the 2024 season, his true freshman season, Frazier also ran the ball 36 times for 188 rushing yards and a touchdown. He averaged 5.2 yards per carry. The running back from Texas is a former three-star recruit in the 2024 class. He was ranked as the No. 77 athlete in the country and the No. 136 recruit in Texas. Jackson signed with USC in December 2023 and enrolled in January 2024. Makhi Frazier Frazier is a 5-foot-10, 218-pound running back from McKinney, Texas. He is ranked as the No. 21 running back and the No. 220 overall prospect in the 247sports Transfer Rankings. For the 2025 season, Frazier ran for 520 rushing yards on 116 carries and two touchdowns. He averaged 4.5 yards per carry, and also caught 12 passes for 25 yards. His season was highlighted by a 103-yard performance on 14 carries and a touchdown in a 23-6 win over Western Michigan, and a 109-yard performance on 14 carries in a 31-20 loss to Michigan. For the 2024 season, his true freshman season, Frazier ran the ball seven times for 21 yards. That being said, Frazier took on a much more impactful role in 2025 and gained that much more experience at the collegiate level. The running back from the Lone Star State is a former three-star recruit in the 2024 class. He was ranked as the No. 109 running back in the country and the No. 249 recruit in Texas. Frazier was originally committed to Oregon State, but following head coach Jonathan Smith's departure from Oregon State, Frazier followed him to East Lansing and signed with Michigan State in December 2023. He enrolled in June 2024.

Some good info on Sprague's play this year (PFF). Michigan starting offensive lineman Andrew Sprague to enter NCAA Transfer Portal Michigan starting offensive lineman Andrew Sprague to enter NCAA Transfer Portal Michigan starting offensive lineman Andrew Sprague to enter NCAA Transfer Portal Zach Shaw (Michigan 247) Late Friday night, the Michigan football team saw another 2025 starter enter the NCAA Transfer portal, as right tackle Andrew Sprague was first reported by Matt Zenitz to be entering the portal. Sprague, who was a redshirt freshman this fall, played 740 of the Wolverines' 867 offensive snaps this season, 736 of which came at right tackle. He started 12 games for the Wolverines, but did not play in Michigan's Citrus Bowl matchup against Texas. The 6-foot-8, 315-pounder and former top-100 recruit finished 73rd out of 256 qualified FBS tackles in Pro Football Focus's pass-blocking grade, 95th in run-blocking grade and 72nd in overall grade. Of 53 freshman and redshirt freshman who played enough snaps, however, he was 10th in PFF's overall blocking grade. He allowed just one sack on 346 pass-blocking snaps, though he did surrender 19 pressures, ranking him 129th in pass-blocking efficiency. With great size and reach, Michigan was optimistic that Sprague could become a multi-year starter and possibly a star for the Wolverines as an upperclassman. Of course, a lot has changed with Michigan since Sprague's last game. Head coach Sherrone Moore, who recruited Sprague, was fired for cause. And this week, the Wolverines moved on from offensive line coach Grant Newsome as Kyle Whittingham puts his own staff in place. Michigan is set to hire Jim Harding as its offensive line coach after 12 seasons in that role with Utah. Harding is an Ohio native who coached high school football in the state of Michigan before moving to the collegiate ranks. "One of the country's top OL coaches. Has developed a nation's leading 12 first-team all-conference players since 2015 and likely to have two first-round picks in April," Matt Zenitz wrote. Sprague, who was the No. 68 overall prospect in the 2024 247Sports Composite, hailed from the Kansas City area originally, and was not offered by Harding and Utah out of high school. This past fall, he was one of three redshirt freshmen starting on the offensive line for the Wolverines, believed be a first for the maize and blue in the 21st century. Be sure to check back with our Michigan Transfer Portal page for a running list of players who enter the portal in the next two weeks. The portal is officially open Jan. 2-15.

Texas A&M Recruiting 2026: The World's Drunkest Elk
Lulz. Texas A&M football promotes staffers Joey Lynch, John Perry to assistant coaches Texas A&M football promotes staffers Joey Lynch, John Perry to assistant coaches Texas A&M football promotes staffers Joey Lynch, John Perry to assistant coachesTarp (aggie 247) Texas A&M head football coach Mike Elko announced today that football staff members Joey Lynch and John Perry had been promoted to assistant coaches Lynch is going from senior offensive analyst to the Aggies' quarterbacks coach, while Perry shifts from assistant wide receivers coach to taking the full-time reins of the positional group. Lynch brings nearly 20 years of experience to the new role, including nine years as an offensive coordinator at the FCS level. Texas A&M marks the second stop together for Perry and Elko as the two worked together at Hofstra University in 2006, serving as its offensive and defensive coordinator, respectively. Perry also spent five years as the head coach at Merrimack College during his near 30-year coaching career. In his two seasons with the Aggies (2024-25), Lynch worked with the running backs, helping the unit produce back-to-back seasons with 2,400-plus yards and 25 rushing scores. It marked the first time since 2012-13 that Texas A&M achieved the feat in consecutive seasons. Under Lynch's guidance, the rushing offense improved from 90th nationally prior to his arrival to 26th in 2024 (195.5) and 34th in 2025 (184.7). Lynch helped develop Second Team All-SEC selection Le'Veon Moss, who concluded his career with 1,767 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns, despite battling injuries his final two seasons. He also coached Rueben Owens II and Amari Daniels to 1,000-plus career rushing yards. Prior to his time in Aggieland, Lynch spent three years at Vanderbilt University, serving as the pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach for one season (2021) before being promoted to the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach his final two years (2022-23). While in Nashville, Lynch helped Vanderbilt's passing offense improve from 104th nationally in 2021 to 64th in 2023. Additionally after taking over as the Commodores offensive coordinator in 2022, Vanderbilt finished 94th and 50th in yards per completion after finishing ranked above 100 in the two years prior. Quarterbacks AJ Swann and Mike Wright combined to throw just six interceptions in 2022, the fewest in the SEC and 12th-fewest nationally. Swann made his debut in Vanderbilt's win over Northern Illinois and went 159 pass attempts before throwing his first interception. It marked the longest stretch to open a career by a Commodore signal-caller since at least 1996 and the longest by an SEC quarterback since 2002. On the year, Swann had the fewest interceptions by any true freshman quarterback with at least 200 dropbacks. Will Sheppard was the primary target for the Commodores, and his nine touchdown receptions were the third-most in school history and ranked second in the SEC. Lynch also mentored Ray Davis during his final season with the Commodores. The running back led the team with 1,042 yards and five touchdowns to become the seventh Commodore to eclipse 1,000 yards in a season after finishing with the ninth-most rushing yards in a season in school history. The reaction ...

Portal nugget: SEC defender one to watch for Texas Hank South (247 Sports) Portal nugget: SEC defender one to watch for Texas Portal nugget: SEC defender one to watch for Texas Hank South (247 Sports) Auburn linebacker Robert Woodyard is expected to enter the transfer portal when it opens on Jan. 2 as reported on Christmas Eve. The Mobile, Ala. native started 11 games for the Tigers in 2025, amassing 67 tackles, including 7 tackles for a loss and 2 sacks. In all, Woodyard has played in 29 games across his career on the Plains. The veteran linebacker was the top-rated player on the Tigers' defense all season, according to Pro Football Focus, registering an 80.1 score. Woodyard particularly excelled in run defense, scoring an 88.4. Texas is losing three starting linebackers this offseason -- Anthony Hill Jr., Liona Lefau, and Trey Moore. While Texas has players waiting in the wings, like Ty'Anthony Smith, Brad Spence, Bo Barnes, and incoming five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson, the position is a need in the portal as UT hasn't signed big classes at the position in recent cycles. A source close to Woodyard's camp told Horns247 on Tuesday that Texas is going to be a program Woodyard considers "due to the relationships." One of those relationships is Woodyard's former high school coach at Williamson, Antonio Coleman, having played for new Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp at Auburn. (Not to be confused with the 2025 recruit Antonio Coleman that signed with Auburn) The 6-foot, 245-pound Woodyard ranks as the No. 5 linebacker and the No. 71 overall player in the transfer portal. So far, the Longhorns have seen 13 players from this year's team announce intentions to hit the transfer portal. Of course, just because a player goes in the portal, doesn't always mean they can't return to the team. That's not to say any of the 13 are considering a return or are all wanted back, but we have seen it happen before (Juan Davis).

The Maxwell Football Club has announced a High School All-American Team. It appears to include kids from multiple classes. Out of 29 kids total on offense and defense, we have 3 signees - Richard Wesley Tyler Atkinson Jermaine Bishop Not too shabby. OFFENSE DEFENSE- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid

Tom Loy posted this yesterday, on the Auburn board. While it's possible that things didn't change and the staff was aware of his plans - and still felt good - that doesn't seem to be the case, based on the reaction from the other $9.95ers.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid

Tom Loy (247 Sports) gushes over our 2026 class. Fun read. TL;dr for indolent - Jermaine Bishop - best pound for pound player in the class, better than Travis Hunter at this stage, likes him even more at safety, Malachi Toney is a comp. Dia Bell - developed in to one of the smoothest, most polished passers in all of high school football Loaded class overall - Atkinson, Okpala, Wesley, Matthews, Cooper, Carlton, Johnson Thinks this class will help us win a title in the next four years. Note - several players mentioned as "day one contributors." Nothing on the OL. Tom's Three Thoughts: Texas' 2026 Signing Class (Tom Loy / 247 Sports) Tom's Three Thoughts: Texas' 2026 Signing Class Tom Loy Texas secured the No. 8 recruiting class in the country according to 247Sports. 23 signees from the class of 2026 are set to play for head coach Steve Sarkisian. Five-star two-way athlete Jermaine Bishop and quarterback Dia Bell are the two five-star headliners of the class. The group is also loaded with Top100 prospects like linebackers Tyler Atkinson and Kosi Okpala, and edge rusher Richard Wesley. There are another five Top247 signees headed to town. Here are three thoughts when looking at the entire class. TEXAS LANDED THE BEST POUND FOR POUND FOOTBALL PLAYER IN 2026It's nothing you all haven't heard before, but Willis (Texas) High five-star two-way athlete Jermaine Bishop is special. I know some people want to throw around Travis Hunter as the comp, but I think Bishop is actually a better pure football player on both sides of the ball than even Hunter was at this stage in his career. Both are truly incredible talents, though, so that's surely not a slight at either. Pound for pound, I'm not sure you'll find a better high school prospect in 2026 than Bishop. The 5-11, 155-pounder is incredible with the ball in his hands. Our own Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins compares Bishop to Miami star freshman receiver Malachi Toney and believes he could be an immediate impact guy day one in Austin. I couldn't agree more. Bishop is just a little different than most as a receiver and could be electric in the slot when he arrives in Austin. However, at safety, I think I like Bishop even more on the back end of the defense. He's a difference-maker in the secondary. His ability to roam around, find the football, show his physicality, and put his elite ball skills on display is incredible. His tape is something else. If you're Texas, just get him on the field somewhere as soon as possible and let him make your team better. TEXAS LANDED A DAMN GOOD ONE IN DIA BELLThe Elite 11 MVP himself, Dia Bell, signed with Texas in December. The 6-3, 215-pounder committed to the Longhorns early and never wavered, despite a strong push from a variety of programs. He was loyal to the school, and the program showed that same respect back to him when he suffered a season-ending injury, which cut his senior campaign short. That said, I've seen enough from Bell over the years that I am not questioning how talented he is, not in the slightest. Bell is incredibly gifted. However, this isn't something that came naturally. I've watched him throw it around since he was in the 8th grade. It didn't always look this clean or this natural. Fast forward a couple of years, and he has transformed into one of the smoothest, most polished passers in all of high school football. He's super clean mechanically. It's all a credit to the work he has put in to put himself in that elite, upper-tier category among the nation's best. Bell is a tremendous talent, a terrific leader, and one day he'll be a Texas captain. No doubt in my mind that he's going to have a special career in Austin. THIS CLASS IS LOADED!I could go on and on about just about every player in Texas' 2026 recruiting class. This class is truly loaded in every sense of the word. Top100 linebacker Tyler Atkinson is outstanding and one of the most day-one-ready defenders this cycle. He's smart, he's a student of the game, he's a football guy, and he's physically ready to help right away. What a finish to the high school career for Top100 linebacker Kosi Okpala. Talk about trending up! He's elite. Top100 edge rusher Richard Wesley is another immediate impact guy in this class. At No. 80 overall, don't tell our scouting team, but I think he's one of the most underrated guys in the class. Top247 cornerback Samari Matthews may be my favorite player in Texas' class. I think he's one of the surest things from the group and a future All-American. Early in his career, I thought Derrek Cooper had the athleticism to be a lockdown, shutdown cornerback. He's that gifted on defense. Then you put the ball in his hands and you realize how special he is at running back. Top247 defensive linemen Jamarion Carlton and James Johnson were massive pickups for Texas. Two others that were huge gets and guys that can help you day one. I can't say enough good things about the group Steve Sarkisan, the entire coaching staff, general manager Brandon Harris, chief of staff Jared Blank, director of player personnel John Michael Jones, and so many others did this cycle. It's a special, special group of difference-makers that will get Texas over the hump and, in my opinion, back on top as national champions in the next four years.- 2025 Texas Coaching/Support Staff Thread
