LOL, Fucking Aggie Troll. Only that delusional band of in-breds think like this. We're Texas, we don't "have a place" and we are not worried about some conspiracy theory of men in dark rooms working to undermine our program.
Mizzou is worth the trip. Cool college town with the campus and the downtown area pretty intertwined. Fans are pretty laid back as they have limited expectations.
Went to Ark last year, Had a great time, but the fans HATE Texas. I had an old lady in a bar (like white haired old lady) tell me to "Fuck Off Texas" for no reason other than I was wearing a Texas shirt. Great road trip with a group of friends, not a great place to take the kiddos - you can feel the hostility, half of which is good natured and the other half pretty dead serious. Also their T-Shirt fans are super Methy.
Aggy - Well Fuck Aggy. Went there once. Never again. like going to Jonestown before the Kool-Aid.
Sorry if already discussed, but a quick scan of the XFL rosters on CBSSports.com reveals a total of.....1 Texas Longhorn - one Ben Davis, LB. I don't even remember a Ben Davis LB. Fascinating that more ex-players aren't involved. One could say it's the value of a Texas degree that you don't have to go kill yourself in the minors, but my guess is it's due to our team depth being the Suck for the last 5 years. (I know it has sucked for longer, but over 5 years out and don't think you're playing minors)
Yep, SEC is going to book back to back road games for these idiots to LSU, so they can have a home game against Texas to start 2024. Actually, I kind of root for this as it would be great to see LSU push their shit in two years in a row, as well as us beating them again at Kyle as the Chef's Kiss. The post game tears after begging the SEC for the privilege would result in a swath of near fatal Surly aggie tear ODs.
The other obvious "WTF" with those morons, is 24 should be LSU at home for AM. Do they really want a schedule that has LSU and Texas home the same year, and by definition, away the same year going forward. Do they really think the conference would give any member two away games in a row against the same foe? Seems obvious they would want those to alternate, but of course there is no logical thought process in the hive. Tarp seems to be the voice of reason on this topic which is the best of example of in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
Facts aren't going to sway them. They have to live with one of two possible realities: 1) The Evil Empire of Texas has conspired for generations to use its money, status, and power to keep, as its sole priority, a laser focus on preventing A&M from reaching their rightful seat as an Academic and Athletic powerhouse or 2) They suck and have sucked for all of their living memory.
Najee Harris won the Doak, and had 1800 scrimmage yards his last year at Bama. (same as Bijan). Drafted 22nd by Steelers, looked pretty good his first year, looked pretty ineffective this year although the stats between year 1 and 2 aren't all that different. 3.9 YPC vs 3.8 YPC. Difference between having to respect the QB his first year (yeah somewhat) and more stacked boxes this year - regardless Backs age fast in the NFL. I hope Mustardson goes top 15 and gets a great first contract, cause it's tough for backs to get the second one.
I don't think this point can be over-emphasized when it comes to Sark's offense. We need to be more effective at inside zone for Sark's preferred play calling/world view to work. Imagine Mustardson with effective inside blocking - could have had a ton more wide-open down field drops last season.
