9-1
The idea that Ames at night is some house of horrors is one of those things that I've noticed for years now, but still don't remember when, and where it came from. Next week worries me because this team has trouble finishing games and stalls out their momentum with inexplicable decisions across the board. Not because of Ames or Mr. 5 loss per year culture. These next two games are about how Texas is able to handle business.

9-1
I still feel like this team can beat anyone at anytime. Problem is, I feel like they can blow it against any P5 opponent with a pulse as well. Oh well. Beats Turtle Tom or one of Charlie's TCU catastrophes.

9-1
We're playing Nebraska? Well that eases a lot of concerns!

Texas vs tcu - 6:30pm on ABC
It's just gotten comical at this point. But whatever. 9-1. Can't complain too much after the decade we've had.

Why go horizontal there?

Michigan -4.5 @ Penn State FOX Big Noon
Yep. Momentum is the most important thing at that point. Fuck the numbers.

Game Week 10: Texas at TCU
Honest question for those that want Maalik gone next year. If Arch ends up being the guy, who is backing him up?

Game Week 10: Texas at TCU
Bingo. He's not a championship level college qb at the moment, but we are 2-0 with Murphy and now have our starter back. We should be ecstatic, but instead some miserable sections of this fanbase still have to go out of their way to shit on Maalik, who looked no worse than Quinn at times last year with LESS live reps. Fucking pathetic.

Lincoln Riley to USC
Iirc even that was regarding something that allegedly happened on campus. Not in the damn stands after a game.

THE College Football Playoff Rankings Thread [MICH,WASH,TEX,ALA]
I'm still not convinced we make it to Arlington. But if there is a 1 loss conference champion Texas, who is to say we don't get the nod over Oregon for pure novelty sake? Oregon has a good brand, but I can't imagine they bring Texas numbers from a viewership perspective. Especially since they have been to the playoff and Texas would be a first timer. In theory, Texas would probably be the more interesting pick. Not saying that would be the right decision, but it illustrates the problem with this process. Nobody knows. At the end of the day, it comes down to how they feel at the moment.

2024 Transfer Thread - The Pedantic Circlejerk
What's his health like? When we entered the season, I was under the impression he was 100 percent; but I haven't seen near as much of him as I was expecting this year.

THE College Football Playoff Rankings Thread [MICH,WASH,TEX,ALA]
That's really my main problem with this committee business. There is no set criteria for getting into the playoffs. It's just the whim of a group of people. The whole thing feels more like an invitational than an actual playoff. The BCS, for all its faults, at least was transparent. We knew exactly what it valued and projections for the rankings were usually pretty damn accurate iirc. I remember the media saying (while visibly bummed I might add) that Texas was going to be ahead of Cal the night before the final rankings came out in 04.

Hey PK -- What would you say you do here?
It amazes me that there are individuals in our fanbase that actually want PK gone after all of the coaching instability we've had over the past decades. This defense has flaws, but they've improved massively since he's arrived. Definitely things to be improved, and I'm not completely sold on our secondary coaching, but wanting PK gone at this point is asinine imo. It's like we never learn.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
You know, that crossed my mind after I posted. Considering where mensa came from and all...

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
I didn't see it, but apparently even Urban mentioned wanting to run him on the big noon show. Last thing I want is to put someone who is already turnover prone into a position they clearly aren't comfortable in.

Tell Me About Texas a&m
Did you ram him from behind as hard as possible as he walked out of the store?

Sounds like he's perfect for this place, then.

Game Week 10: Texas at TCU
Isn't Maalik's ankle hurt? I know sometimes you have to play through it, but between an injury and a coach that notoriously hates running the qb, I feel like this is more of a Sark call.

I was referring the start time of the game. Also, the queen is dead.

Game Week 10: Texas at TCU
You really need to re-watch the Charlie years. Swoopes doesn't even drive the bus to a three score lead against KSU to begin with.

Maalik Murphy unfucked Duke, works his next miracle at Oregon State
But he's a Manning! No development needed.

Maalik Murphy unfucked Duke, works his next miracle at Oregon State
I haven't seen anything from Maalik this year that is that much worse than Quinn's okie state game last year. Difference is, this team is actually playing for shit in November, so everything Maalik does is magnified. Especially since we haven't been in this position for over a decade.

Fuck! Staying up til midnight for a middling TCU that is gonna be amped up is gonna suck ass. How does that get prime time over an FSU-Miami match up, anyway?
