That September win came through for us imo. There is no way in hell the committee was gonna leave the SECSECSEC out. Once Bama became the SEC representative, they were gonna have a hard time justifying letting them in while leaving us out.

ACC Championship - #14 Louisville vs #4 FSU - 7pm on ABC
Do Lamar Jackson or Teddy Bridgewater have any eligibility left? Could use em this weekend.

12-1 FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT
I'll enjoy watching it and seeing the future get some real playing time, but it's best to not get too wrapped up in the outcome of such games. One of the few things that I honestly kind of miss about the old days. I remember being fucking ecstatic after the comeback against Washington in the holiday bowl and how pissed I was losing to Oregon the year before. Last year when we played Washington, it just kind of felt meh.

ABC -KVUE contract dispute
I'm currently using Fubo here in the UK. I personally like YouTube TV more, but I got actually Fubo a bit cheaper and it works just fine. Price varies depending on when you sign up it feels like.

I meant that in the sense that it's acknowledged that even the best NFL teams are going to have a loss or two in the regular season. With the new super conferences, I think the result is going to be that the big boys start taking a loss or two more than has been normal historically; due to the fact that they're in a conference with even more big boys (still nowhere near the parity in the NFL, obviously). With the 12 team playoff, however, having a single loss isn't going to keep any team in the new SEC or Big 10 out of the playoffs. In this case, from a team development standpoint, I'm thinking that scheduling a premier OOC opponent could prove beneficial down the line in the playoffs.

CFB coaching carousel
This. We absolutely HAVE to lock in our LOS coaches going into the SEC.

2024 Transfer Thread - The Pedantic Circlejerk
Jesus. I get that Duke isn't exactly a premier job, but I'm pretty sure their head coach makes more than enough money for a decent suit. I don't get as caught up on superficial shit as most of the fashionistas on this board; but when you're that size you've got to help yourself SOME.

In the 12 team playoff era, playing tough OOC games will probably be more beneficial from a team development standpoint. Teams will start taking more of an NFL mindset of prepping for the "real season" instead of focusing so much on the beauty contest.

Texas vs oSu - Big XII Championship - Pre-game Chatter
We're tied with Baylor...and all three of their's have come since 2010. Fuck post-2005 Mack for the position he put this program in.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
I feel like Penix/Nix and some of the covid guys are proving a valuable point about staying at the college level and developing. So many players are trying to take shortcuts to the league these days. I get that everyone is in a different situation, and there are financial concerns; but from a pure product quality standpoint, I miss the days when only the true elite guys left early.

I'm shocked that the state hasn't re-allocated some infrastructure funds to build a better stadium in NOLA. Guess it's already all going to the LSU NIL efforts.

If we're being perfectly honest, a large metroplex high school stadium would probably suffice for the Big 12 championship game after this year. Then Jerry world would be available for the SEC game. Problem solved!

Didn't Mangino have KU ranked in the top 5 at one point? Not much more you can ask for there.

Texas vs oSu - Big XII Championship - Pre-game Chatter
Prepping for a team you know will be on your schedule all offseason is a little bit different from having a weeks notice. I'm sure Gundy has probably had some light scouting done on us just in case of a potential matchup, but it is still an entirely different situation from what they normally have when they play us. The sterile NFL environment probably works in our favor, as well. Now the refs...that's the wildcard.

12-1 FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT
Missouri fans and players are generally gigantic asshats for such an irrelevant program, so idc. Mensa was still a goof, though.

12-1 FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT
Yep. When the SEC deal was announced, I remember casual outsiders were all mouthing about how Texas would have a hard time adjusting to a conference they can't run over. Lol. Little do they know, OU is actually going to be the school adjusting to no special treatment; because nobody in the SEC gives a damn that they're the foil to Mean Ole Texas.

Tell Me About Louisville
This is what I fear. It happened in 2014 when Wisconsin rolled over for Ohio State and lost by like 60. ACC wants to get a team in and FSU is their only shot. Difference is, Florida State is gonna get blasted by anyone they play if they get in.

Left Behind: A Quick Dose Of Post Big 12 Reality
Florida has less wins all time than Nebraka, too. Your point? The whole blueblood thing is cool, but us Texas fans put way too much stock into that. Do you think Georgia fans give a damn that our overall history is better than their's?

I wasn't even particularly impressed with them against OU to be honest. They threatened to Gundy it away a couple of times.

I do remember a lot of west coast types whining about their precious Big 10 vs Pac 10 Rose Bowl being ruined. I wonder how they feel about realignment.

Cal fans are the only people that still remember or care about that. The following results for both teams shut everybody else up.
