Lincoln Riley to USC
In hindsight, we probably should have figured out a way to con aggy into "stealing" our NC winning coach away from us after they fired Sherman.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
So Quinn isn't as good as two 5th/6th year guys and a returning Heisman winner that was pegged as the top qb in the draft before the season started? Welp, I'm out on him now.

Someone should tweet this at Josh Pate. He worked himself up into a real tizzy yesterday trying to convince us aggy isn't a cult.

The Home Stretch - Big 12 Championship Scenarios
I doubt at that point the conference would even try to hide it. I'd fully expect a 2015 style job.

The Home Stretch - Big 12 Championship Scenarios
At this point is there any chance we can get a dirt burglars rematch? Most scenarios seem to involve either us or OU, but not together.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2024: Bags Don't Beat Bankrolls
Not spoiling anything. I never expected to have all 3 of those guys going into 24. I'm just saying if it somehow happens, I'm cool with it.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2024: Bags Don't Beat Bankrolls
Im happy to hear that Maalik is registering with draft guys. Personally, I'd like Maalik in burnt orange for as long as he wants to be here. Not many qb's these days have the balls and the attitude to hang around and want to learn while competing with names like Quinn and Arch when they legitimately have other P5 options.

So the key to success is trying to be more like players with a different skillset than you?

Pretty much. They got a nicer stadium to suck in, at least.

He must be watching Josh Pate.

Good chance his stock is never higher. May as well cash in now.

To be fair, Dabo proved more over a longer period of time than Jimbo ever did. He was basically pre-VY mack before DeShawn Watson came along.

You mean these are individuals living different lives under different circumstances, and not chess pieces on a board? Crazy!

If this was 25 years ago, I would agree with you. But the game has changed, and if you want to win NC's, you've got to run a national program. Look at the classes of all the programs we want to compete with. Imo, it's much more important these days for a coach to be able to navigate all the unique aspects of the modern game (NIL, portal) than an intimate history with the state HS football scene. If you are good at building relationships, that's all that matters.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
The cliff we fell off of as soon as Colt and Shipley left should illustrate the state of the oline during that time period. Weren't we starting a youth minister at tackle or something?

I haven't watched much Oregon, but is Bo Nix really that good now? Feels like he has been around as long as Jwhitt and I wasn't super impressed with him before.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
I don't know what the point is in stacking all this WR talent if we're just going to keep half of them on the bench. I think Sark sometimes gets so wrapped up in what he WANTS to do, that he forgets the things we CAN do if they don't fall into his previous ideas of what he wants to do. Also, probably a little bit of coaching ego for running HIS system. Seems to be a running theme with a lot of coaches. This is the same guy that witnessed VY in person and still doesn't believe in quarterbacks running.

Funniest part is even Auburn, which on paper is probably a worse job, has had far more success than Aggy.

Coaches needs to be aware that losing to Iowa St and beating Texas Tech could still leave them out of the CCG
Who would have thought, after all we've been through the past decade, that us going 9-1 would be when this place goes off the deep end.
