Trump’s America
“The youths of America are turning into dangerous, leftist, domestic terrorists. They’re beating American patriots just for exercising their first-amendment rights! We must act to defund public schools now!” -Cornyn, Paxton, and co. in their next ads, probably.

I think you missed the sarcasm, Sydney... Granted, with as many people who keep asking this question (which was @Hookem10 's point), your response is supported.

Texas Basketball 2025-26: It’s Miller Time
You mean like last year at USCe? What a joy that one was... The bright spot is that Collin Murray-Boyles is no longer there to dominate us like he did last season. Agree - losing this one, especially at home, would be very bad for us.

Texas WBB 2025-26: Return to the Final Four
We have some legit scorers (and shooters) in this class. The teams in 2026-27 and 27-28 should be even more balanced than this year's iteration.

Texas WBB 2025-26: Return to the Final Four
Playing at home will also help. Would be nice for Jordan Lee to break out of her slump, as well. Lastly, I know Carlton got beat for some easy backdoor buckets against OU, but she played a good game otherwise. 16 points (6-11, 1-1 from three), 3-4 FT, 8 rbs (3 off), 2 stls, 2 TOs. Carlton materially contributing and Crump healthy and another threat from three (and another scorer in general) just frees up so much of the floor for everyone else.

Texas Offseason 2026 - "All In" On A Few Things
Monday: Bobby Some early feedback I’ve heard on some of the freshmen: - Dia Bell. Working out, but the ball isn’t in the air yet. TBD. - Derrek Cooper. More explosive than perhaps initially thought. Good size. - Samari Matthews. Gotta see how well he really runs. Everything else is there, including mental makeup. - Tyler Atkinson. As advertised athletically. Need to see him with the pads on. - Jamarion Carlton. Extremely impressive physically. - Richard Wesley. Big and athletic. Still growing in their opinion. - Jermaine Bishop. Starts and stops very fluidly.

Texas WBB 2025-26: Return to the Final Four
Lol, yep… I wasn’t talking about anything you said, other than your repeated misspelling of her name. Nevertheless, that doesn’t necessarily inspire or convince me to listen to your Texas WBB takes.

Point and laugh at Shaka Smart
Marquette (8-14, 3-8) in a fight at Seton Hall (15-6, 5-5) late. Tied at 60 with 3:59 left on Peacock. Nigel James Jr. is so good. He is wasted playing for Shaka. Edit: and Marquette loses, 69-64. No surprise, but they led 41-33 at half. Same old Shaka.

Just to close the door on this one or any other potential fireworks to pop off. We'll see smaller, depth pieces, I'm sure (TWSS).

2027 WR Easton Royal
Easton Royal: Post visit update (Monday 1126) - Gerry Texas commit and 4-star++ wide receiver Easton Royal made a two day unofficial visit over the weekend with his mom. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Under Armour All-America Game MVP spent time with Steve Sarkisian and Chris Jackson, along A.J. Milwee over both days. He also attended the Texas 87-67 win over Georgia. Fellow New Orleans product and freshman defensive back Hayward Howard Jr. spent a lot of time with Royal. They had dinner Saturday night with a few other players. That was big for Royal, as we wants to keep developing relationships with members of the Texas team (the younger guys he would be playing with). All returns from multiple sources remain very positive following the visit, both in Texas and one source in the Pelican State. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian and wide receivers coach Chris Jackson are expected by Brother Martin High late in the week. With running backs coach Jabbar Juluke expected to be on the road in Louisiana late in the week too, he could also be part of that visit. Texas will be in a fight with LSU, and potentially Florida and Miami the whole way through - to be clear. And they should be for the level of talent Royal possesses.

Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
Monday - Bobby Texas AD Chris Del Conte will host his annual town hall next Wednesday, Feb. 4. Del Conte will answer an array of questions on just about every sport and any topic. Plus, he’ll give a state of the program look at the entire athletic department. Among the issues to be discussed will surely be the finalization timeline of the new indoor practice facility and the overall financial health of the athletic department. But there will be other questions, ones much more focused on his future plans for the department. For instance, here’s a simple question he will tackle. What will the scheduling strategy be for football now that the SEC has gone to a nine-game schedule? But there are more complex ones, too. Like… What role should Texas take in the next phase of college sports and what should that next phase look like? ** Del Conte is serving the university thanks to a relatively new 10-year contract. Texas will likely be his final job as a college sports executive, his lasting imprint on his profession. He enters this stretch as Texas does, with college sports never more successful, but with its future never more uncertain and its current state never messier. So what role will Del Conte and Texas take in shaping the future of college sports? While Del Conte and Texas can not be the only voice of the future of college sports, they both carry enormous weight. I’ll be interested to hear his thoughts. ** One last note: Tragedy strikes even the most fortunate of us. We saw it a couple of weeks back with Jordan Shipley and we saw it again yesterday evening. My personal prayers to the Arnold family this morning. May all of Texas and the Longhorn family lift you up.
