  1. The transfer portal thread really has everyone on edge
  2. So frustrating that Texas still doesn’t have more of a three-point threat as a team. Judd hasn’t shot well this season, who knows when Crump will play again, and Lee was way off tonight.
  3. I still watch highlights of them going back and forth. Law hit some ridiculous shots that game. Hit a game-winning three the other game in CS the year before too.
  4. That squad in 2015 with Daniel House and Alex Caruso was nice. But, I’m not surprised aggy doesn’t even know their own basketball history. They don’t seem to really care much.
  5. I think their 2005-06, 06-07, and 15-16 teams were better than last year’s squad.
  6. Yeah, I don’t have much more than that, either. There were plenty of plays, repeatedly, over the course of the first 13 or so games where players just seemed to dog it. Miller mentioned effort multiple times in recent PCs and also that players simply were executing, or even doing, what he was asking them. Finally adopting/learning/putting into practice his scheme Playing with determined effort Reversion to the mean Some combo of all three? Either way, we’ve seen much better basketball these past two games and it has saved the possibility of making the tournament. That all being said, just to be a realist, I’m sure there will be more frustrating performances to come. This team still lacks a true PG, doesn’t move the ball consistently well on offense, and doesn’t consistently shoot the three well. My exact reaction except it occurred when I saw us up 40-32 and started paying attention.
  7. Honest question on my end. Are you really asking, or is this a rhetorical question?
  8. This has been a completely different basketball team the past two games. I like it!
  9. Maybe “proven” was the wrong word. “Quality” is better. I’m not saying seven surefire starters at any given school. I’m saying seven guys you can trust. That is typically what a championship-caliber team has. Again, Texas, right now, has three.
  10. Plenty of teams have seven or so quality OL they can depend on. Currently, Texas has three. That's the argument here.
  11. Remains to be seen... but it appears things are heading that way, at least in terms of capital allocation. Roster spots will be utilized, but a third of it might be guys who basically get nothing and are cheap development/"break glass in case of emergency" types.
  12. This. People are looking at the username and ignoring the correct take. Sure, Texas could move to an NFL style roster with fewer players, but those players better be ready to contribute when needed. That's not the case, at least right now. There is basically no proven OL depth past the starting players. Shit, the projected starting five isn't proven at this point. Will Texas add OL players - yes, they will. But if it's a bunch of bread, they're arguably in a worse spot at OL than even this past season. Sikorski isn't some OL revelation; he's a gamble at this point.
  13. This is just comical at this point. Still have time to address the OL room, but
  14. The OSU Edge that ended up at KSU
  15. Maybe @BurntOrange&White would find happiness again.
  16. They should. The BigXII is going to be ass next year with ASU getting raided and Utah losing Whittingham. Tech will still have a decent amount of talent and so will BYU, but it’s pretty open. That being said, fuck Baylor, and I won’t bet on Lagway to actually perform and/or not get injured.
  17. If this is the next @RGBIII firework, I may spontaneously combust from successive orgasms.
  18. Honestly, better Oregon than OSU.
  19. Most likely, you're going to get shit on for your general tenor/pessimistic reputation on this board. However, this is an extremely rational and objective take. Here's to hoping Texas adds some more proven OL pieces by EOW.
  20. RGBIII said more fireworks to come yesterday, but that it may get pushed to today. So, sounds like there will be someone dropping today.
  21. First comment. Like fucking clockwork. No surprise here: Yep. Reed is “better.” Unless you count head-to-head performance and TD:INT ratio in big games. Reggie is still better than Vince, I bet.
  22. I’m not so sure. I don’t think we can pencil in anyone as a starter at guard, yet.
  23. Wow. Cut it to five and then get destroyed while running the press and LSU gets a lucky and-one.
