  1. Yep. Bottom line is that we blew up, then burned, a shitload of very valuable bridges for......no fucking reason whatsofuckingever.
  2. Except here's the difference between constituencies: if members of our "team" are among the perpetrators of heinous crimes, we say "hang 'em all." The other constituency? Not so much. Deny, deflect, and never ever, hold any of their guys accountable. It's fucking tiresome, and I'm fucking done with it. Hang 'em all, or admit you're team pedophile. Those are the fucking choices.
  3. It was probably this:
  4. I mean....not just agree with. That's a cogent, fantastic and dispassionate summary. It cuts right to the bone. Fucking hell. I now find myself agreeing 100% with something said by someone who is....one of the most batshit humans in this current timeline? Fuck me running.
  5. "Hans Boomer Esiason on the Olympics in Berlin, 1936"
  6. Dude. Shut up. Basic math is woke.
  7. Some thoughts prompted by SB ad saturation: 1) The pillars of our economy right now....are shit. FFS, they are pretty much what you would expect to see in a mafia-run economic system. Gambling, vice (weight loss drugs), and scams and grifts and financial shell games (crypto and AI). Seriously, we used to make stuff, we used to devote our intellectual capital to developing actual things and ideas. Now, all of our best minds end up as either tech bros manufacturing and hawking vibes, or finance bros structuring layered transactions that add no value to anything, but move a shitload of dollars around that can be called "economic activity." We are an amoral/often close to criminal or outright criminal house of cards, economically. 2) When one of those pillars collapses/the bubble truly bursts....there's a solid chance it's a contagion that spreads to at least one other pillar. Meaning that the cascading effects are massive. 3) The American "leadership team" we have in place currently who would be in charge of saving our asses as the fire flashes over....oh my God are we FUCKED. There's no Paulson or Bernanke up there. Navarro? Lutnick? Bessent? My friends, when the shit hits the fan, we're gonna end up with shit ALL over us, with nobody to clean it up. Sweet dreams tonight!
  8. Fuck that cunt. She new plenty, she enabled this, she empowered it. MAGA is an accessory to all of this shit.
  9. Seriously. Based on these recent revelations, he should be in the mix as a future GQP presidential candidate.
  10. The grammatical structure here is a challenge. Since that was clearly shorthand... Does it refer to someone who washes their dildo religiously? Because that's probably a good idea. Is it about someone who washes dildos as a religious rite? Because in this timeline....sure, that checks out. Is it someone who washes dildos that are also religious, like a dildo shaped like Jesus? Because that would also check out. In summary, we need more information.
  11. That's correct. I love the good, more crumbly batter types (think Top Notch), but I also love a beer batter onion ring. I dig all the GOOD onion rings.
  12. Well, I mean....none so far. But if you order, it, they can shoot her 3 times in the face before 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, if you have Prime membership.
  13. We are governed by a cadre of clowns who literally believe that up is down and down is up. When you start with first principles like those, gee, no wonder it's all a clusterfuck.
  14. Also.....does Pete REALLY not understand how supply and demand works? See, the jobs report is about unemployment, and available jobs. If we are deporting labor (supply) out of the job market, then shouldn't demand (available jobs, and thus hiring for those jobs) go UP? Deporting labor shouldn't HURT the job market for people looking, it should HELP it. Right, Pete? Jesus. We are governed by people who literally think that up is down and down is up. When you start from first principles that fucking stupid, no wonder we're getting results that are SO fucking stupid.
  15. On a personal level, this is one of the most irreconcilable things about the evangelical Christian movement's heretical deification of MAGA and its leaders. I hate liars (professional hazard, but I've also always felt that way personally). And not only is lying a sin so important it merits a specific commandment, it is literally the defining badge of behavior for Satan himself (you know....the guy who is the OPPOSITE of everything that Christians purportedly stand for) (per John 8:44): You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. FFS, you could type in "Trump" instead of "the devil," and it would be spot-on. It's not just that they look past the lies, they embrace them. Lying is not incidental to MAGA (and yes, EVERYONE lies -- "no honey, your ass looks fine in those pants"), it is essential to the point of being a sacrament. They brag about it (see JD Vance admitting that the "they're eating the dogs and cats" was a lie they told purely to serve their agenda, and admitting it with a proud smile). Of course, using the banner of Christianity as a cloak for dishonesty is nothing new. Talk to any lawyer who has had a client or friend come to them with a tale of being ripped off by a shitty contractor, subcontractor, professional, etc. SO often, the tale comes with a "he seemed so trustworthy. He touts himself as a Christian businessman. There's a Jesus fish or bible verse or whatnot on the front page of his website!" The lawyers just nod. "Yeah....if you're ever looking to hire someone, and they prominently market themselves as 'christian' in any way.....run away. They are much more likely to fuck you over." Sure, it's anecdotal, but ask the lawyers you know who deal with this. We all talk to each other, it's pretty much a universal observation and cautionary tale. We know from experience that the gold medal-champs of lying are "Christian businessmen." Not businessmen who are Christian, mind you, but anyone who proclaims themselves to be a "Christian businessmen." I do business with numerous people who I know to be practicing and dedicated church members. They walk the walk. And you won't see that ANYWHERE on their marketing materials. American "Christians" are the lyingest motherfuckers around, so their bullshit about posting the Ten Commandments when they actively hate and defy one of them religiously pisses me off even more than the rest of it.
  16. I mean, one of the things I love about that is the patently, cartoonishly absurd name: "World Liberty Financial" Shades of: and This matter alone - pardoned fraudster then funneling literally BILLIONS OF FUCKING DOLLARS to the POTUS via a transparently fraudulent bullshit scheme would be the biggest scandal in presidential history standing alone. In this presidency? It's a Tuesday morning story.
  17. Someone unironically posted about Donald Trump....a man whose entire business model is "fucking over every counterparty and contractor at every possible turn"....."I didn't know he would screw us like this." FFS, it's not just what DJT does, it's the essence of his very being. To not know that DJT was going to screw anyone and everyone doing business with him is on par with not knowing that an object will fall when dropped. It's a law as immutable as gravity itself.
  18. Saw a bit of this last night. The only conclusion I could make with any certainty: those two chicks who are "true crime" podcasters whose "investigations" consist of "scouring every corner of the internet, and all the emails I get," are no good, horrible, very bad for humanity, society, and everything.
  19. To be fair.....that's exactly the kind of primary use for AI that I could see myself coming up with....so, you know, people in glass houses.
