Sorry, man, I had a root canal and I'm on some hydrocodone. I don't even know what I type half the time, so I don't want to see it this time.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
Title IX needs to be updated. It's been around since like 1970 and needs to move with the times. It just doesn't make sense. Equality will never be the same across men's and women's sports because, well, people like men's sports objectively more. But that doesn't mean title IX can't be updated to get with the times. I don't care about how many women's sports we add because none of them will ever be revenue-driven. But we need to also get with the times and add more men's sports that maybe niche, but are growing; men's and women's alike. There is no reason this can't be done.- Bijan Robinson is special
No, he has absolutely added more speed and explosivity this year. His cuts are more dangerous, and he's just getting started. Balance, vision, cutting, has all gotten a step or two quicker. He's an athletic freak.- Bijan Robinson is special
I thought about them as well, but from a purely talent perspective only, it's really had to top Bijan. While CMC and Saquon are both absolute horses, Bijan is just different. It's like watching poetry in motion every single time he touches the ball. It's incredible.- Uniform Pron
I mean, Gotham City is depicted in the comics as being in New Jersey, so it makes sense. The Gotham name was just a jewelery store name in an NYC phone book. Conversely, NYC was nicknamed Gotham in the 19th century, so the Jets are paying homage to both adaptations, which is cool detsil once you know it. #comicnerd- Uniform Pron
I kind of wonder how many former or current Delta Force Operators went to West Point, and how many former and current DEVGRU (Seal Team 6) went to the Naval Academy? I can't find a list, and it would be something cool to know. Like some weird fact special forces nerds like me would like to know. Same wirh Air Force Academy grads went on to become 24th STS operators?- 2025-26 CFP General Discussion

Two things— 1) Creed Humphrey looks special needs 2) from just a talent perspective, he is the most talented RB since Adrian Peterson.- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible

This is people's look into how a person actually is in real life. I have zero doubt he's probably not the best of people and is going to help teams erase themselves from recruiting him once they talk to him face to face. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I can't look past that. That's some shitty behavior, and undoubtedly it's more likely common with him. Kids/young adults don't just wake up one day and think "You know, I think today I'm going to go against the grain and be a fucking asshole to a school that helped me try and live out my dreams of making the NFL, so I'll just fuck them over."- Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen

So I get where you're coming from, but people need to remember you will never, and I never recruit HS players and them all be on the same trajectory. The McCutcheon pushed out for Bishop thing would be a never-ending loop, and that's just one position. Donors pay a lot of money, and most donors understand kids take time and get better year over year, or else you're going to end up disappointed every single year. The game is faster for 99% of HS kids starting their first year, or even after a RS year. You can't give up on players so quickly unless you have a backup plan that's a for sure upgrade, not what 247/On3/ESPN and fans/rankings expect. Sure, there will always be players that end up in your program and you know immediately they aren't a fit (for a plethora of reasons), so you can let them leave. But others have shown flashes at some point where you believe in another year or two that player or players will be starters or contributors. We, as fans, like to have tunnel vision and see the warts during games and think "well they can fuck off, we'll just find another one in the portal." It just doesn't work that way, nor will it ever. The portal isn't a grocery store where you can just re-stock when you're disappointed. There is more trash in the portal than guys who will be starters and end up in the NFL or as major contributors, so you're already having to battle it out with 10-15 other programs and hope for the best. Yes, guys like Spencer Shannon who have been here for 3-4 years should most likely hit the portal if they have their degree (which he should at this point from all of the summer, spring, winter classes they take), but guys like Sharma and Charles, as talented as they are, are still freshmen or RS-FR who play a big boy position where you're going against other big boys and grown ass men. They take seasoning. January had to be played out of necessity, not because he was just that talented. Same with QBs. We all thought Sayin was fucking awesome until you look closer, and then you see he's a talented player, but even as a RS-FR with all the talent in the world around him still got beat tf up and made a lot of mistakes. Same for almost all positions. My point is, you can't expect to just replace every player who doesn't become an alpha one or two seasons of playing. For every Cedric Benson, there are about 50 D'onta Foreman's. Same with all positions. Obviously fat needs trimming and roster needs churning each year, but giving up on an 18-year old immediately for struggling isn't wise, unless the staff just knows they fucked up or what have you.- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
I will add to this that in the "we can afford it because our revenue sports like football and basketball can afford it for them" we need a men's and women's official Lacrosse teams. It's a massively growing sport in the state of Texas. Sure, it'll probably take us 80 years to get to the level of Duke, Syracuse, ND, Ohio State, Loyola, John's Hopkins, etc, but I don't care, we'll all be dead, anyway. I just want to say "yeah, I member when we started those programs." Same with men's soccer. Then just add some IDGAF women's sports. If we're being honest, title IX is retarded. I understand the why, but realistically this isn't the 70s anymore. Women have plenty of teams, it doesn't all have to be "equal" in the sense of men's athletics has X amount of scholarships, so now we add [whatever women's sport] needs the same amount. No, they don't. They really, really don't. Sports is about entertainment, and if a men's soccer team and M/W Lacrosse teams bring in fans, you should do it. We aren't a poor school. The women to men ratio is is 3:2 just as students. And yes, I understand it's different, but at what point do you acknowledge that not everything in the world is equal in terms of relevance? Adding women's gymnastics and lacrosse + men's soccer and lacrosse doesn't have to be about numbers, anymore. Athletes from both sexes still getting the opportunity to play here. It's not like we're taking away teams to add another, thus creating another issue; it's sports, thus entertainment. Who cares if Timmy has 85 apples and Tina has 40? The sports wouldn't be revenue driving, as is. Not a single sport outside of football and basketball are raking in cash hand over fist, including baseball, where we're a already a blue blood with the third most NC's and most trips to Omaha. Yet both the baseball team and softball team are getting NIL deals and scholarships. Same wirh VB. Non-revenue sport, but people show the fuck up in support. You can't make money off of those programs. It's simply impossible, you know? It's why football and basketball carry the other sports, because they can afford to. Women's gymnastics is awesome. Lacrosse kicks ass. Men's soccer has been popular in the state and long overdue for fucking ever. The NCAA might as well be inert at this junction. It's being phased out. It has no teeth. /rant over- Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid

Yup. Dude was not even human. He was an absolute specimen. To this day I still haven't seen someone as dominant in college, regardless of line position. Not Clowney. Not Peppers. Not Patrick Willis. Not even Aaron Donald. He was also, his entire career (CFB to the NFL), mind you—the perfect villain.- Texas Roster 2026

Without question. He makes GDGD look like Tesla in comparison. It's nothing short of staggering he made it to the college level and kept failing upwards. I'll never understand it.- Texas Roster 2026
He was not the number one RB recruit, and not even to our staff. Number one was Savion Hitler, two was Ezavier Crowell (#1a for our staff, then I believe Cooper was 1b), and then after that you can say Cooper and whomever else. He's a great HS back, but so was Baxter. I believe ESPN is the only site that list him as the #1 RB recruit, and 247 has him as the number 10 RB recruit, On3 has him as the #15 RB, behind some very questionable guys that will fail; like Johnathan Hatton because Demarco Murray is fucking horrible, EJ Edwards, who's pretty good, but I doubt better than Cooper, same with Tradarian Ball. I don't know anything about Deshonne Redeaux or Brian Bonner. It's a mess on all of these sites. https://247sports.com/season/2026-football/recruitrankings/?InstitutionGroup=highschool&Position=RB- Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen

Honestly, I'm with you. I don't really have many feelings regarding it since he's just a bit different, in a good way. It comes down to if he does, awesome, and if he doesn't, I don't blame him. - Former Longhorn Aaron Benson Passed Away
