I'm 46 and I stay out all night drinking and still find a way to get to the hotel bar by 630am at the latest.
But to be fair, now that I am a sophisticate, I am no longer drinking beer by the pitcher at Across the Street Bar on Friday night. So that does help with the recovery in the morning.
It's always fun when the game gets the rare 230 kick. Everyone is so trained to slam beers for 11am that the food court turns into an even bigger shit show by 1230.
Last 230 game sucked for getting out of there because a ton of new people were headed into Fair Park for a 7pm concert while all the football fans were trying to leave.
Team 11am here. If you don't have a Bloody Mary in your hand by 6am you're doing it wrong.
No matter how good this season potentially gets, there are going to be pussy ass bitches worrying about everything.
Probably the same people who predicted Bama to win by 21 points.
I liked Tortaco. It opened early on Sunday and had a mean bloody mary. Was a good place to eat and knock back a couple of drinks before ten hours of football watching elsewhere.
Trinity in the old location was pretty meh.
And what's this RIP Shinjuku stuff? Say it ain't so.
Maybe the better we're playing the better the acts.
If so, hopefully by the time the Tech game rolls around we'll have a fully reunited Led Zeppelin playing LCL with Bonham bringing Beethoven back from the dead with him to accompany on Kashmir.
It felt like Texas came into that game with so much confidence and expectation of success that they've already had time to contemplate how they're going to remain focused after it happens.
That's a great sign for the maturity and leadership in the locker room.
I think this was still around 3 hours before kickoff from around that area. Most of the Bama fans walking up from that end of the quad would comment how many Texas fans were there.

I was at this game for the first half. Boise States WR corps fucking sucks. Drops, slip and falls, etc.
Pre game and sailgating is cool The fucking stadium has got to do something about the concession standa. Every line was 25+ people deep and not moving. Finally got into a line mid 2nd qtr, waited a few minutes, then they come out and say the registers are down. Fuck you!
I bailed to go watch other games at a bar.
There's no way I am going to sit here and worry about something I have zero control over.
Plus I am too busy watching Alabama games from last year trying to pinpoint their weaknesses.
I am certainly not trying to diminish RJ (or Richardson) but I feel like every two bit agent is gonna float this story about their client every year for the next twenty seasons.
Was a good weekend overall. Got wasted on Plinys at Oracle Friday night after Toronado. Guys on the patio were double fisting vapes and passing around a huge joint. It was one of the most impressive smoking feats I have witnessed since college.
Hit up breweries Olfactory and Harmony Saturday before the Sat game.
Sunday went to Tony's Napoletana in North Beach, kick ass. Skipped the line because no one wanted the last seats at the bar.
The Honey I'm Stoned sandwich at Two Sons is legit.
Overall I know things are still a mess with people leaving the city, real estate, etc but it didn't seem that different. Lots of Euro tourists. Still the usual occasional crazies stammering down Market.
Walked back thru Tenderloin at midnight after going to Emperor Norton's and there were of course a shitload of shady characters but no one that caused any problems or even said a word to me.
Seemed like some of the tent folks have moved or been forced to move to side streets or alleys away from storefronts.
There was nothing scary unless you're a pussy that's never seen anything in a big city before. I look forward to my next return.
